Portuguese barn find - 180 cars

Hey, in that first pic, is that a Lambo or something with a wheelchair platform on the back end?

 

It says... "Interclassico discovered Ali Baba's garage, a warehouse with 180 cars, the doors [of the warehouse] were welded (Yes Welded) for 15 years.

Its difficult anywhere in the world to encounter a [collection] of cars like this. "

What a nice barn find! Has someone identified all these cars?

 

wow, what a find, someones got their work cut out, if they want to restore that lot

 

It would definitely cost a lot to restore them all, but the investment would be well worth it!

 

I can pick out the obvious VW Beetle, OPEL GT and the Lotus ELAN......but most of the rest elude me......looks like some Alfa's but I know nothing about any of them.

 

There's a Porsche 356 that looks in decent shape. But you wouldn't even need to restore those! Sheesh, 180 cars, if you sold each one for only $1000 you'd be rich, and I'm sure lots of them would go for way more than that, even unrestored.

 

WOW! I can't even begin to imagine what my reaction would have been if i was the one who opened the door....

Someone is realy lucky, I wonder how $$$$ worth of cars that is. Imagine if you thought you were JUST buying a warehouse, and find theres 180 classic cars that now belong to you in it! I wonder how long it took them to count them all

What a find. That is amazing. Makes you wonder how many other barn finds like this are out there at the moment.

 

Guess I've been spending too much time behind barns and not enough time looking inside them!

 

The 5th picture above, (18 13:41), is a Lancia Flaminia Zagato.

 

Doing what behind barns exactly?

 

I just looked at the whole batch of pictures - there are at least 8 Lancias in there.
2 Aurelia B20's
An Aurelia Berlina
3 Appias (Berlina, Pf Coupe, Vignale Conv)
2 Flaminias (Zagato and Touring)

The sporty little red thing with the headlights up appears to be an Abarth Scorpione.

Are they worth anything? Or just fun little cars?

 

Some of them look like scrap, or parts cars at best, and some of them are "dullards" that were never worth anything, they're just funky old cars. But there are quite a number in there that will appeal to collectors and should make good money. Hard to tell until they're pulled out in the open and cleaned up a bit. Those old roadsters might be gold mines.

 

I think I saw a Borgward in there. I think there are some American cars in there too! Good Night Mrs. Kalabash, wherever you are?

Definitely a yellow Lotus Seven there too, and you're right, lots of Alfas! Geez, what a find.
