My slow down light comes on for 10-15 min or so and goes off. This has been a problem for several months now. If I shut the car off when the light is on, it will be on the next day when the car starts. I also get code 1445 How do I trouble shoot if it is the problem is the ECU or Sensor with out buying a both and which side is bad.
The car is 1996 with cats. I had the car to the dealer a month before cat warranty expired. When the car was in, the slowdown light would not come on and he said the cats were in good condition.
John - A few ideas for you................. P1445 Catalyst Temperature (Vescovini) Range / Performance (Min/Max/Plaus) 1.Check the wiring 2.Check Vescovini ECU functionality 3.Check thermocouple functionality Most common fault is the thermocouple, but to diagnose properly you will need to take your car to an official Ferrari repair shop who will have the correct equipment to diagnose the faults. To test the thermocouple they would use tester D31 To test the ECU they would use tester SD1 By using this test equipment they would be able to see if you require either the thermocouple or the ECU, or if you're unlucky both.
Wow that is the last code that I have been trying to get rid of! What is a D31 and SD?? I do get the slow down light flashing if I let the car heat soak after driving. Then start driving again. My cats have been replaced with hyperflow. They melted. I believe my sensors thermocouples or O2's were not changed in the 30K service. My car is a 1997 F355
