    Hi gang,

Finally got my Bendpak mid-riser after months of research and PMn different people, thanks guys for your help, got it home.

I rented a U-haul, which was better then beating my truck.
It's a heavy mother, so had to use a few floor jacks. Got it off without anybody getting hurt or breaking anything.:)

First had to clean out the garage with all that cardboard.

Second, i bought this Garage Floor Protector rubber mat from Home depot 10' x 22', not bad.

    Third, i bought (4) 12' x 12" x 2" boards.
I cut 2 of them to 10' and then i cut off 2" a 1/4" deep so i can place some ramps that i had cut.

Bought some oil, plugged it in and got her up!

That's absolutely phenomenal! I love it. I have no room in my garage for a traditional 2-post (or 4) lift due to width and height constraints, but something like this could work! Even just to get the car that extra foot or two off the ground to make working easier, I think it'd be worth it.

    Very cool...thanks for sharing!

Congrats Pizzaman! Looks excellent! What's the first project? Are you gonna park a go cart under there?? ;)

Aaron, I have to say that once you have a lift you will never know how you did without it. Even if you can only lift the car 3 feet, it makes everything so much easier.

    What are the specs?

Lifting height, $ etc. Obviously a great solution for places that can't fit a full rise lift.

    Nice!

Just went to bendpak.com gave the specs of lift range...to 53" but I didn't find the $...

    Very cool.
How high up does it lift? (enough to drop a mondial engine/rear suspension out of the bottom?)
    It looks great!!!

I'm not sure how high it goes, but I'm 99% certain it goes high enough to remove the engine from the Mondial.

I have something similar, midrise, from snap-on, love it....don't know how much this has saved me in time andmoney, also, let me know if you find "safety support jacks" that will be the right height to support the car just in case, still get creeps workingunder the car, also still get the kick out of seeing the car rise up on the lift in the garage,

So your model doesn't have any kind of locks/pins??? Does the bend-pak have locks pins for various heights?

Looking at the $ it's comparable to a "parking" style 4 post lift.... Yet I can see advantages to both... free wheels, verusus sitting ont he treads.... Probably have to get both kinds =)

    LOL!

They do make a difference. In a PM, I was just asked what type of lift I have; the guy wanted to know if he should buy a house with a 3-car garage, or just get a 2-car garage and a lift. I recommended a 3-car AND a lift ;)

This is the picture I just sent him...

    Looks like $1500.00 USD.

    1) How is the stability at full heighth?
    2) Are there any obstructions by the Bend-Pak in accessing ALL of the engine area from underneath?

    Chris,
Lie on the floor and shoot the underside of the car when up on the lift then everyone can see what obstructions there are. I'm curious too. It looks like a very nice little lift for someone short on space. I do think it's kinda funny that they refer to it as a portable lift though. Ha, if you're the incredible Hulk maybe.

This look slike a great alternative for those of us who are considering a lift but wary of the floor installed lifts that require high ceilings and bolting to the floor. It would be great to see if the Bend-Pak has any interference with areas I need to access under the car.
    Thank you.

    Thank you for the response.

No rush, didn't mean to seem pushy.

Best wishes for a happy holiday and that nobody here is stuck in Denver over Christmas at a snowed-in airport.

    Hi Chris,

Looks good. Very low profile , I can get away with this in my garage,
My wife will not even know i have it under my car.
This could work for me .
