So how about it guys, I have looked for pictures or further information on the f50 about how the roofpanel is removeable. Until today I really thought that there were two different models, a hardtop and a roadster (boy do I feel like a fool). And I thought I knew ferrari's pretty well but it now seems illogical to have two different models on such a limited production supercar (349) I believe. But anyhow, if anyone has pics of the top being removed or what the top piece looks like off of the car I would appreciate it. Does it replace the tonneau or cover it behind the headrests. And do the headrests move any for the top or just get covered with it. Thanks for any replies in advance. Love the site.

Here are the pics from the parts book. Best I could do for now.

Hope these help clear it up.

    Cheers~

Yea, that answers a few questions about it, looks like it can be a lot of work if you have to take the tonneau cover off to put the hard top on, it would have to be secure. I think that I'll just leave mine off (when I get one).

    Thanks

Changeover takes about 30 minutes for one person with practice. Better with a helper, then 25 minutes tops.

I like the looks of the hardtop, but I'd never drive it that way, much more fun open top.

not really, because the added mechanicals wld only add weight. Same way the supercars dont have carpeting or power window lifts. Its all about saving weight and going fast :)
