Was at the service today for a small check up before 2nd track-day of the year at saturday, istanbul park, yeey.

Noticed that my reverse lights are not working, both of them.
They checked the bulbs, working, the fuses, working. (Why Ferrari used nearly 100 screws to bold the 3 fuse covers, i did not understand, but there is one on the boot and one behind each seat.
If interested, the reverse gear lights fuse is behind the drivers seat, you can reach it after unscrewing 20 screws!!)

Anyway, they assume that the problem is probably because of the "switch" under Reverse position of the gear lever (surely manual) that triggers the light when you put in reverse, is broken/faulty..
I wander if any of you guys have had the same problem, any idea about that "switch" thing or another possible cause.

By the way, they have mentioned that you can reach that "switch" by just remowing the shifter gate on maranellos (550-575), however in 360s they have to, maybe, remove the gearbox!!!.
That seemed alittle suspicious to me that they needed to remove the gearbox for just a little light fix.
I'll go to service after the trackday again for possible brake pad change and if thats the case with the R light, i think i'll wait till i need a new clutch or something, wouldnt you agree..?

    cheers..

F1 or manual? The reverse switch on a manual is in the shifter housing on the F1 I think it is in the reverse lever.

I was told by a very reputable source that it's a common occurence for these back up light switches to go out. Mine is out at the moment. If it's a manual, it's in there on the top of the gearbox, so you have to take off the center console to get at it.

I have replaced the switch on my manual 360. Easy job. It is located under the center console in the front side of the shifter housing. It is a threaded switch that screws into the housing. The switch is #26 in the picture.
