Ok so will the 295/35-18 Michelins fit using a stock rim without rubbing anywhere on a 355 Spider? Need to order some new tire and want to up size if and only if I have no problems with clearance.

You can run 295/35's on the rears without increasing rim size. However you will need to lower the rear springs by a turn or so. Here is some great info on what you will want to look for in doing this... You will notice - I was going down the same road as you a few months back :)

If you do a search on 355 tires - you will find much more information if these three do not answer your questions.

    Thanks,

You don't need to change anything. The sidewall on the 295s is only 2.75 mm
shorter than on the 265s. You will never see or know the difference. Put them on and forget about it.

If you want to get technical you would actually have to raise the rear slightly to compensate for the shorter sidewall but as I said unless you are into competition driving you will never feel the difference.
