Hi there..Goodyear Firoano's that came original are done in the rear. The good folks at a performance tire shop here in Atlanta say they were mediocre, at best. Recommending either Bridgestone S01's or a BF Goodrich KB..Michelin is behind the new KB's with their purchase of Bridgestone...Any other recommendations?

I just put (on Saturday) Kumho Escta's 275/40's on my rears... Pretty decent tire and at 229 each - not bad...

There is a huge thread on this from last week - on sizes, etc. Do a quick search...

I was going to but the BF 295 35 - Which fit and have the right ratio as the 265 40 originals - but they are running at 300+ and didn't seem to have much advantage for the cost.

You will either have to go 275 40 or the 295 35 - It is difficult to find the 265 40's any more... If you go with the 275 40's - put about 1 extra PSI (37 psi instead of 36 - which makes it the same rolling dia as the 265 or close.

I agree with the above except:

    The designation is 275/40ZR18 not 275 40
You should subtract 1-2 PSI not add.
If you go with 295/35ZR18 you will want to lower the rear by 2 turns of the shock collar to offset the wider rear tires understeer augmentation.

I will be going out and letting 1 - 2 lbs out of my tires now... Darn it... :)
