I just fitted a complete set of Brembo rotors on my 512BBi. They drilled both radially and axially. They fit and look superb and should offer improved braking. I'm using them with Kevlar pads. I bought them all from Brake Warehouse (1 800 814 0702), Talk to Randy, he was really helpfull. Total cost was just under $1,200. Attached are a couple of pics of the completed job. Yes, that does look great. Are those new shocks? It looks like you're doing more than brakes and therefore have not yet tested them out?
Not done much more; gave everything a thorough clean, the shocks are std Koni's. Whilst doing the brakes I found the boots over the inner CV's had come off, and also gone rock hard due to exhaust heat, so have removed the 1/2 shafts to replace the boots. Again, thoroughly cleaned the old grease out and the joints were fine, so ordered new boots and grease. The ones sent by Ferrari are a new design which replaces the old design: they don't work! So if you need new ones specify the orriginal design, plus fixing clips and locking tabs for the inner bolts. I've got all the part No.s if anyone needs them. Just put 280/45VR415 TRX's on the rear wheels. These are the same rolling radius as the 255/55's as std. The fit perfectly, and look superb, really filling the arches out without looking at all 'boy racerish' (being just under 2" wider). No clearance problems at all. I always prefer a wider tyre on the rear of a mid engined car. I'll post some pics during the next few days when I put it all back together.
