Looking for a good RHD Iso Grifo, restored or un restored. My email is xoticars@gmail.com
Mike the bike Hailwood one of the great motorbike riders, but when it came to driving on the street Mike wasn't that great. He owned at least two Grifo's maybe three, bent all of them. 162D was crashed into a Water Buffalo as you can see he made a pretty good mess of it 081D smashed into a stone wall Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Read My Car Quest. I have written about two Grifos for sale in the past week. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a LHD yellow Iso Grifo for sale. Stunning condition. Show winner. Priced median of market value. Please PM for details.
His was bought from Baldwin Motion Chevrolet new. He can be reached by contacting his son Stuart, who is the Jaguar PR man out of NY or NJ. His car is red and has a hotted up engine. Maybe Piero Rivolta will sell his red one. I don't know if he's still collecting them or changing priorties in his life But the trouble is he paid over $100K for his and it's not even a long nose. He's nostaligic about them, he once owned the company. He owns a boat company in Florida and builds commercial buildings. I think in Sarasota.
Marty Schorr sold his Iso Grifo recently after 42 years of ownership. You can read what he and I had to say about this on **********. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw this car earlier this year, on it's maiden public voyage. Very nice, & I did talk to the owner for a bit. He didn't mention it being for sale at the time.
All of this owners cars are nice and who ever gets it will be very happy, the car has great provenance and a high standard of finish.
I think it is possible, having seen this in person I can say the color is spectacular. Not a original Iso color but it really looks good IMHO. Image Unavailable, Please Login
a new one up for grabs needs some TLC http://bringatrailer.com/2012/01/01/bat-exclusive-1967-iso-grifo-driving-project/#more-
yes, but when people do the interiors they usually strip them, so it's a no brainer. The nose is factory original many Grifo's were sent back to the factory for the upgrade. You could get yours upgraded too, I am sure Roberto has an extra. Everyone knows the series two is "the one" to have
I know, I don't know why! The droopy nose makes it look depressed, as though it's been listening to the cure for too long...
If anyone is still looking for an Iso, I would contact Chuck Wray at DEW motors. He is a big Iso guy, having restored many and also has one or two possibly hidden away. Here are some shots of one they have in their stewardship. It was shown earlier in the thread. regards ken Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What ever happened to the Iso Grifo sitting in a poor state in Vermont. I read about it several years ago in Hemmings and lost track of it. Any luck prying it away from the owner so it could be saved ? Thanks! Mark
