To be frank, many of the 430 and 360's lines are generic sports car lines. Beautiful they are, but not difficult to replicate. This sketch, if I am not mistaken, was drawn by a fellow FChatter. If one were to think of a "new Dino" as the artist who drew this thought of in the time of the "new Dino" rumors, the lines would not be hard to produce simply with what Ferrari were already producing - the 430. So, the idea that a "future Ferrari" with 430-esque lines produces this? Not suprising. And nor is the idea that a new model would inherit predictable design evolutions. _J
Ferrari's design is the most unpredictable of all.Look at porsche.... I looked at these(http://www.auto.it/novita/ferrari/2009/05/27-2867/Ecco+la+nuova+Ferrari!) pictures very well and I observed that it matches the spy shots. And not only the hood. Those air scoops near the headlights are logic. If you observe in this spy picture, you can see some lines were the bonnet ends through the textile cover.Near the headlights the edge of the bonnet descend.(the horizontal lines draw in black).I sketch the bonnet from czechferrari.cz over the pic and you can see that there some scoop near the headlights. The back side.....there are also air scoops near the backlights. You can see them on auto.it drawings, in the czechferrari.cz from the shapes of the frame, and from the spy shots were there is a fan near the lights. You can observe an edge on the side of the rear fender, just like ones from the p4/5 and california(inspired by the elerons from le mans cars of the past) PS:I like if there will be reglabe ailerons on both sides near the taillights Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
indeed! this one going to be a huge surprise I think..... honestly I kind like it by these design wannabe.....I'll wait the real things though..... it won't pretty far from current california I think..
Yes -> 3 in new gallery is a better photo of steering wheel: http://www.czechferrari.cz/clanek/ferrari-f142-new-spy-shots-7/13571/
LE:I attached some documents that ferrari presented in the past years.About kers,DI, and other tings in future cars(in a figure you can see an electric motor mounted to the 430's gearbox, in another a GDI(direct injection?!) implementation for 430's engine) -fixed seats but ajustable pedals -manettino will become fully f1 tunning on steering-wheel Another thing...I looked at engine bay in the spy pics. The gearbox look bigger than normal, or I'am wrong? It appears that the two upper buttons are the horn buttons, relocated from the rims. I hated them in the rim in the 430 so this would be a welcomed change to me. It is a guess, but maybe the button above the starter is for ride height or the KERS?
I don't know, I think I'd respectfully disagree on that. While those are certainly "less pure" applications of the steering wheel, they are good functions that keep your eyes on the road. If you like to put miles on your Ferrari (not just tracking or canyon runs) I'd prefer to put more controls on or within fingers' reach of the wheel itself (even if only communications and audio). I'm starting to get giddy looking at that engine bay. A lot of the good stuff may be missing still but it's clear that this is going to make a helluva racer. The engine looks even lower than it is in the 430 so it'll be great to see the dry-sump system. And that gearbox looks huge relative to the 360 and 430's. Regardless, the "450 GT" we'll one day see at Le Mans appears to have quite a platform to start with.
That's a dull looking engine for sure. Curious if it's just a mock engine to move the car around... _J
It's just not properly finished and painted. It will have all the metal parts in place so enable a realistic crash test, but everything else is left off. Remember - this is a crash test car, so it is built as cheaply as possible.
That's very very stupid writing. 1.Transaxel gearbox????!!WTF??????--------transaxel gearbox may have cars with front engine and rear wheel drive. 2.including radiators ahead of the front wheels----------So where 430 and 360 had them? 3.understeer-cancelling software---------This sound like naming AC "no sweating system"....The electronic-diff is tuned to offer a balance betwen under and oversteer. 4.The F450 may be revealed at Decembers LA motor show as a concept featuring a future hybrid powertrain.------when did ferrari preface any of its cars?????????????????????????? And when any of a car makers preface a non hybrid car by a hybrid concept?????????????? 5.....and its engineering was finished some time ago------------If its tru(but i doubt) why ferrari is running test with prototypes of the car? 6.Unlike the launch of the F430, when both Spider and coupé broke cover at the same time-----------This not happen!!!!!! 7.Although the F450 will employ cutting-edge tech, it wont initially adopt any of the new patents that Ferrari recently applied for, including twin-turbo, direct-injection V8 petrol engines and all-wheel-drive hybrid technologies.-----------even they say later (and numerous times before that will feature direct-injection)
http://www.worldcarfans.com/109061719970/new-ferrari-f450--more-details-emerge New Ferrari F450 - More Details Emerge Upcoming F450 will feature a 7-speed, dual-clutch trans-axle gearbox and other technologies derived from Ferrari racing A few more crumbs of knowledge on the upcoming Ferrari F450 have emerged. Actually, more than a few, as our esteemed colleagues at Autocar have uncovered lots of details on the upgrading that the F450 will feature over the current F430. According to Autocar, Ferrari will be employing a host of technologies derived from its Formula One and GT racing divisions. These will include a 7-speed, double-clutch trans-axle transmission, a next-generation version of traction control from the Scuderia, a software program that corrects under-steer, and radiators placed just before the front wheels. The F450 will also be made of lightweight aluminum that will improve handling over the more rigid F430 while keeping weight, and hence emissions, down. Ferrari may still be fine-tuning the styling on the model and is working with legendary coach-builder Pininfarina to match design with aerodynamic requirements. The 450 will debut only as a hardtop. Leaving some room in the market for the California model to find its customers. An F450 Spider is scheduled to arrive some 18 months after the launch of the coupe, expected sometime early in 2010. The F450 will likely make its public debut at the Los Angeles auto show in December. A hybrid version may also be featured, but Ferrari is holding off on introducing its latest patented technologies on the F450, such as Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), fearing that its customer-base is not yet ready to see eco-friendly Ferraris. Still, they want to be first to have a road car with that kind of technology to beat the competition to the punch. But for the time being, Ferrari believe they can meet emissions standards over the next several years by use of direct-injection engines, weight reduction and other such technologies that don't involve its recent patents.
no, you can put pdf's in here. i did it one time. that's better. or by private f chat message mail. oke? thnx
The shifts sound really really smooth.. But this is a video of the brake-test car. So i'm not sure if this is just a Scuderia with F450 brakes or if this is the new engine + gearbox. I doesn't really sound like a turbocharged car.
