It's time for another update.... there just isn't enough time! 288 GTO will be posted next I guess...
Nothing special more then one day or another to my knowledge. .... Home coming will be when it finds it's home this week. Meadow brook's showing was because Larry asked for the two cars to be in it, so it was arranged. Did you make it today?
Kahmed, You did a great job of photographing Meadowbrook today! Post more for those of us who can't attend, and also post the old classics, as well. Thank You for your good work. I see you are from Ann Arbor, I used to live there from my birth, until my health made me move up North, to Alma. PM if you wish and we can talk further, maybe of common interests and we may know some of the same people and places. Ciao...Paolo

I'll be sure to give the command, sir. I've got a few updates coming along this week... sorry for the long wait. Harry and I were talking about doing something to meet up with you sometime in the future... very early planning stages where there is no plan, but something to think about
Thanks for appreciating my pics guys, here are the pics from the Concours. http://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply_az_TopicID!53232~ForumID!17~pw.html
I have done the 'drive past the house' thing before when being followed. It is weird because you almost feel like you are James Bond in a spy movie trying to lose the people tailing you. LOL!!
You actually reminded me of something else that happened to me that was a bit funny. A few months ago I went to a friends wedding up in Northern Indiana and I drove the Diablo 6.0 there. Well, before the wedding I was driving around and saw this car show in a church parking lot with a bunch of neat old cars, classics, and muscle cars. I stopped in to check them out and the guys at the gate said, 'Pull in here...you need to be in this show,' so I did. Well, I parked the car and left the doors and engine hatch up so that the people that were now swarming the car could see inside. That was the polite thing to do I thought. Well, I turned around and walked away to talk to someone (I was about 15 feet from the car) and when I turned back around there was some kid (maybe 10-12 years old) SITTING IN THE CAR!! I was speechless. The father was standing right there leaning in the car talking to his son, and had NO PROBLEMS with letting his son just jump into a Lamborghini without so much as even asking. What was really funny was that the people standing around were almost as mortified as I was, and I could see from the way they looked at me they did not know what to do, but expected me to kill the kid and his idiot father. Instead, I played it cool and walked up and said, 'Hello there. Can I help you,' and they all but ignored me. The kid just happened to be getting bored then and was getting out anyway. The kicker was that neither the son, NOR THE FATHER, apologized for what they had done. I could not help but think how rude they were, and can only imagine how that kid will grow up with no manners or respect for other peoples belongings. To kind of make a side shot point, as the kid and father were walking away (they were only a few feet from the car, and within earshot) I said, 'Would anyone else like to sit in the car? Evidently it is open season with no need to ask,' to which a few people laughed. The father and son were unphased. For the next 10 minutes people walked up to me and were saying, 'I cannot believe that father let his son do that,' to which I agreed and said, 'It happens. Some people just have no manners'.
It is a sad testament to where our society is leaning. There are a lot of people out there with no manners, no respect and absolutely no trace of guilt about it.
Very understandable, I saw 1 year ago up in bay harbour a kid was wearing jeans with those metal buttons all over the back ( kid was 9 years old and was foreign looking) he just leaned on a bugatti veyron that was there and the father who was talking with the salesman, was astonished and pushed him off the car.. then the kid did it again. And then the humble (until now) salesman stepped in and said "how dare you!!! this costs more then your home! get away" and the salesman physiclly moved him away from the car.

Did this gentleman happen to have his Enzo at the Dream Cruise on Woodward this past Saturday ? http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o104/Davesvt2000/WoodwardAve2007085.jpg
Nope.... this gentleman was out in Monterey for the weekend... that guy is another local with a more conservative collection of cars.
Two new deliveries in the last few weeks.... whats next? Look for his Callaway C16 Speedster on the cover of Motor Trend possibly next month. The 599 in red is 100x better then any of the 'off color' options... it shows the contours and curves MUCH better then any of the others' i've seen so far. I'm told yellow works very well on the 599 as well. Taking delivery of the Bugatti was an interesting experience that its a rare thing to witness... just knowing what the car is, the history of how it got there, and seeing it right there is just 'other worldly' ... surreal. No matter what your opinions on the car are, it is undeniably motoring perfection...and there is no excaping that feeling. I'm looking forward to when the Bug rep. comes in to teach the details on the car Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
