Took myself and my car to BMW/Ducatti/Triumph/whathaveyou in Charlotte yesterday for parts for my bike...was challenged several times on the way by wannabeeees...loved every minute of it.

Today the wind is from the SW and very strong...limbs falling from trees etc. car is in the gararge!

What's going on in the rest of this NC/SC area in the next few days!
I'd like to ride or drive somewhere this weekend...meet some F/chatters....sportbike riders etc....anything going on?

I live in the Hickory area. Will travel to area meeting places.. as long as I can use a something fun to get there and back.

I'm interested in learning about plus wheel sizes for a 550, tire manufacturer/supplier options for 550...standard 18 inch or 19 inch sizes, safe wheel spacers for my 18 inch stock rims or new rims with different off-sets.

I've seen what Stephens and Ferrarifixer in AUS have to say but what do you local guys have on your cars and where do you find the supplies.

Help...my other half loves shopping so I'm lost this time of the year!

    Hey JR
I have a pretty heavy day on Tuesday so I might as well make it harder by having a beer or four with you Monday if you are up for it.
All the best and stay safe in the Gulf if we dont meet up.

There is a nice cigar bar called "cutters" in down town near the Capitol Grill, where I will likely have dinner that night if anyone wants to have a bite!

    Hey Hotrod,

I have had several customer in that I swapped wheels out for. 355, 348, Testarossa, 308 , and 360

Usually going up in wheels size and down in tire size. When is comes to spacers, well there are a few choices. My first I bought, then since I have access to a CNC milling machine we started to make our own. They tend to be better because we can acutally fit them to the car instead of accepting a generic spacer. Give me a call and I'd be happey to talk to you about options.

    Thanks

If the weather is decent, I'd be up for a ride on an open weekend. Sundays work better for me. I check on here at least once a day, so let me know when you're up for something.

Yes., I know Dennis Oltoff and had a GT 40 on order last year but it never came and was delayed because I wanted a BIG BLOCK....I cancelled eventually. I'm sure it's a great car but wanted someone else other than me to do the development work.

I have a Superformance Cobra so know those guys well and can see the improvements they have made on those in recent times...maybe I'd be better waiting for the series II or III GT 40 before renewing my order. I hate being the first with something new anyway.

Great guys doing a difficult job.

    Hotrod
PS: I have another Cobra made in mid 80's with a tilt front clip, 351 Windsor, C-6 tranny and Corvette rear end. Just rebuilt the motor and rewired the electrics....not perfect but as they should be...a work in progresss. FOR SALE.

Let me know when you get in town (Hickory)...can't see how one would trade living in South Beach for our quaint, quiet but very comfortable Hickory!

    Hey Roger,

Nice to know there are some other folks in the Hickory area. Trying to get a small group together in this area, have spoken to Larry Hendricks along with a few others that were somewhat interested.

Anyway, look forward to meeting you sometime.
