The ex-Sultan 'grey' RHD F40 is about to come up for sale (not with me), now repainted in red with a 'standard' F40 interior, rather than the grey leather it had. Additions to a standard F40 include electric windows, door handles (luxury!), plumbed in fire extinguisher and integrated roll cage. It does look fantastic, and the way things are going with F40s may be a good purchase!

Thought the F40 addicts might be interested.

Do you have any pics? Will it be a private or dealer sale?

I do have pics, but I'm afraid they are only for me at the moment, until the car goes public. It will be for sale with a dealer in the UK. I saw the car this morning and it looks fantastic - just like a mint 'normal' F40 but RHD!

Ok. I saw this car when it was grey about 4 years ago. It was at the Brooklands auto italia day and i wasn't as into cars as i am now and only too one pic :( It would be cool if the car is still for sale this summer, then i could have a chance to see it again :) Do you know when it will "appear"?

It will appear quite shortly, but will be available to view by appointment only.

To be honest this feels like an advert - are you a broker ?

The car seems to be with Duncan Hamilton

Agree it does sound like an advert, and further agree that the car is listed on Duncan Hamiltons website - interesting car though well out of my league :-(

William has been told not to advertise any more cars he's representing on Fchat, as this is an intersting F40 maybe he'll post details here that arent on duncan hamiltons site.

Even though he did post yesterday on Pistonheads that he was involved in the sale of this car........

William has asked me to modify my post to ensure his reputation suffers no harm

I havent a clue about his reputation and havent heard a negative thing about his business, and can only say that if you havent got the time to find a new car or want something hard to find you may want to give him a call

However this is the comment he posted on Pistonheads in relation to this F40

Sorry, not meant to be an advert at all, I am not selling the car (nor involved in its sale in any way) but I did have a look at it yesterday before it was on their website so thought I would give FChat a heads up as it's a very interesting car. Apologies for any confusion. If I was trying to sell it I hope I would have done a better job than that! hence no price and no link. Nonetheless apologies for anyone offended, that was not the intention.

Just to be clear, the quote from Andrew taken from Pistonheads was NOT regarding this RHD car.

William, i want to appologise for my post in the other F40 thread, i didn't realize how old it was (the thread) and like Andrew, i took your posts in this thread for advertising.

    Sorry

LOL...why does everyone keep apologising in this thread? is this the sorry thread?

Im sorry for wetting the bed when i was 9yrs old.

Ok back to the F40.....how much is it? With all the org F40s having rolled off the production line as LHD, this will never be a true F40, no matter how could the conversion, it is FACT that it will not drive like a LHD F40.

Forgive my ignorance but why not? And does this mean that any RHD Ferrari wont drive like its LHD equivilent?...

I actually think its a fantastic idea, and had I the available cash - wouldnt think twice. But I'm not a purist, believeing in driving pleasure rather than accuracy... but then again I'm probably not that good a driver anyway :)

Do I need to say sorry now or should I appologise later.......)

IMO it's sad to see a very rare coloured Ferrari turned into resale red.

IIRC this car was originally red, then repainted for the SoBrunei (shorter abbreviation connotated sifferent meaning!). So to me color not a big deal.
