Yeah,i did have that problem that one time, when i drove it in around 44degree heat, but it wasnt overheating. But,i thought about it overheating before i looked into buying one,but then i thought,if its gunna overheat up here,on a hot day, then big deal, ill just drive it early mornings and late afternoons and nights. Small price in driving a ferrari up here! hehe Its all good so far! Touch wood
i'd be less concerned with the car itself overheating i mean the cooling capacity of these cars is huge, unless you're doing slow cafe laps or something. i'd be worried about becoming a roasted peanut myself.
Yes, the 512BB is the worst for roasting in. That massive windscreen acts like a microwave oven and even with the aircon on, you just cook on a hot day. A very unpleasant experience.
Hehehehehe , hey Pap... i know the senior sargeant up there very very well and have told her to "keep an eye " on you, cos you won't be hard to spot...... her partner apparently knows you quite well....... when i told her about you she said the exact same thing as most of the folk up there do..... holy s*&t a fazza in the Isa!!!!!
Scott, the person concerned has had many phone calls and sms on the matter already, I'd never use this forum as a FIRST point of notice on this kind of matter.... it's got to the point where his avoidance of my calls is comical. Funny how it changes in a moment when he needs something or wants some free advice.....
Really??? Whos her better half?? Its a small town here,i probably know him also?? I need details! I better watch my self then! Maybe i can take her for a hot lap in the 348 to make sure we all get along!
There are also people who rely on knowing how inconvenient and expensive it is for a supplier (like me) to have to defend a contrived VCAT case. In "our" oil "weep" example, The "repair" of the gaskets I did, was massively cheaper (under $300 my cost) than your threatened VCAT case, which would have had another shop drop the engine, replace the belts and cam seals etc, to suit their incorrect diagnosis.... about $3000 I wasn't that impressed with that tactic, and the "repair" I did , in no way represent admission of any fault, it was just a business decision. Pap.. how's that clutch look mate?
FF,the clutch plates gave me a raging HORN,that the missus is here soothing now as we speak...........um type hehe The pressure plate but? Is that any more tuffer than the stocko AP pressure plate?? The diaphragm fingers look the same as the old ones?? And that was what was broken?? Do you really think that they will last??
It is widely known that you work on my cars, hence your earlier statement could well have been construed to mean that the dud payer was me. Couldn't let it go past without comment. People who don't pay their bills sh*t me to death. Fortunately in my line of work it's "cash on the barrell" or Government payment in 13 days. I therefore rarely get stung and when I do it is because I got sucked in to a sob story. Even then it is always less than $50 once or twice a year. The shoplifting criminals are a different story.
couldn't help yourself, could you? it was an oil leak. TWO mechanics saw it....PLUS yourself. Incorrect my bottom. just let it go. stop lying. i realise you feel the need to cover up to protect your business, but the reality was you wouldn't have a BAR of me OR the car when I reported the leak. You just took the money and ran. Don't you realise everytime you bring this up, it's just longer before people forget? How stupid are you? i see no end to it!
Exactly, and to protect my time I chose to appease your "feeling" that the leak was major, because if I hadn't done it, the other guys would have up sold you an expensive and unnecessary engine out job, and you would have taken me to VCAT to reclaim your ~$3000 Remember, when you left me with your gaskets replaced, you went straight to get the sump fixed.
Enough is enough. The next one of you to post ANYTHING derogatory about the other, or mention the oilgate affair for the next week, gets a week in the cooler.
