We're organizing another drive to VIR next Sunday morning (August 7). Plan will be to leave GSO early -- perhaps 7:30am -- and watch the SCCA races (full course) while enjoying a nice picnic on the hillside.

Anyone interested in going, drop me a PM or respond here.

I'm interested. I need to take the day off of work and as soon as that happens, I'll give you the definitive yes.

May have a second "caravan" leaving from further east than GSO. Maybe around Haw River or Mebane.

If there's a group leaving from the Haw River/Durham area please post a gathering place/time. Thanks

For those of you coming from RDU and south & east of VIR, we'll also caravan from the parking lot of the Best Western Hotel at exit 150 (Haw River) on I-85/40 at 7:40 Sunday AM. PM Jack Russell Racing if you plan to do any kart racing.

    See you there.

The group leaving from Greensboro will roll out of Panera Bread (new location, on Wendover, just NORTH of I-40) at 7:30am on Sunday morning. I'll be there a little early if anyone wants coffee.

And again, for those of you coming from RDU and south & east of VIR, we'll also caravan from the parking lot of the Best Western Hotel at exit 150 (Haw River) on I-85/40 at 7:40 Sunday AM. The Best Western is north of the interstate - NORTH. We'll leave at 7:40 AM.

You almost had me. I've been in such a fog since I've become a Ferrari owner that I started to think I was losing it, but then I noticed that you edited the message. Tricky, tricky. I knew I should have quoted the entire message...

I wish I could go. I've got a wedding the next weekend, so that uses up my days off for next week. I hope everyone has a good time and I look forward to the pics.

Stop on by the paddock. I'll be in the red/yellow Alfa GTV. Nothing like racing SCCA Nationals in a truly "vintage" car.

    Peter -

Sounds good. In the GT1 class, we'll be pulling for Tim Lyons in the Rousch Mustang (co-worker of mine). See you on Sunday!

The drive up was great! It was the first time I got to really stretch out the new 328's legs -- the top was off, the wind was blowing, the engine was roaring. By the time we headed back it was so hot and humid that I just have to say that I'm thankful for the fully functional A/C!
