LOS ANGELES (AP) - Johnnie L. Cochran Jr., who became a legal superstar after helping clear O.J. Simpson during a sensational murder trial in which he uttered the famous quote, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit," died Tuesday. He was 67.

Cochran died of a brain disorder in Los Angeles, said law partner Randy McMurray.

Johnnie came into a restaurant here in New Orleans a few months ago and a friend of mine saw him there and said he looked like he had just had a stroke. I wonder what it was exactly...

I think it is the stress of this loss that has put MM on edge. Like when going to a funeral, and having a laughing fit, not because its funny, but because its so overwhelming at times that you can have uncontrollable reactions.

Ok, maybe not in this case, LOL :D

You feel how you feel dude, and MM feels how he feels..... I was expecting some type of "owned" pic in this anyways at some stage..

My only memory of this guy is when South Park did a skit on him.... Sad really.

    Condolences...:(

    At ease, junior.

Does this picture ring any bells? Look closely, at the foot of the steps. Guess whose Bruno Magli prints those are? 'Nuff said. Connect the dots.

In that case you should be hating Marcia Clark as she was unable to sway the jury.

I love how it is always the fault of the defense and not the prosecution that someone goes free.

Don't get me wrong I THINK he did it, But the fact is he was found innocent.

Blame the prosecution for not being good enough to prove O.J's guilt.

It really comes down to fact that the prosecution came forward with a case that was beyond their capabilities.

A man died. Show some fuggin respect.

After all, when you are in a bad situation you would be begging for somone who will be able to help you.

Innocent? Definitely "not innocent". They just couldn't prove he was "guilty."

(I know thats what you mean.....)

I never stated that he was innocent. as a matter of fact if you read my post you will see that I said I thought he was guilty. But Marcia Clark dropped the ball. This is the prosecutions fault CUPCAKE.

Wow, I was just watching the news and didn't catch this story.

I was no fan of Cochran, but I'm still suprised. 67 is pretty young.....

Although I don't necessarily agree with what his client did, getting him aquitted of the criminal charges was nothing short of a (evil) miracle since they had everything but a video of OJ actually committing the murders to prosecute him with.

Even with a sub-par prosecution team it should've been something of a cakewalk to convict, but Cochran pulled it off. Sure, the brain-dead jurors helped in that, but someone had to select them. Throwing out the right/wrong moral judgments of defending this client, it's impressive (and not necessarily in a good way) that he got off. Good lawyer, horrible client.

Hmm.. Kardashian, Cochran, is Flea Bailey next? "The OJ Curse"

Lissen, cupcake, you said of Cochran's natural death, "Show some fuggin respect."

Respect is EARNED, asshat. Playing the race card so that a multiple murderer CAN STILL WALK FREELY AMONG US ain't earning respect.

You must be a lawyer to be so easily able to lose sight of the forest for the trees.

As for the OJ curse...yup...Kardashian, Cochran....who's next? Shapiro bailed---he is safe. Bailey.
