I'm probably the first one home since the rest of you have cars in the show. Some pics: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I couldn't believe the sign, so I asked him if it was really ok. He said sure. So I got to sit in my first Ferrari, and so did my 9 and 11 year old sons. Ferrari fever is running high in my house right now! I want to give a special thank you to Mr. Tillman for sharing his Ferrari. It made a huge impression on 2 boys this afternoon, and gave me a renewed desire for my own Ferrari. Thanks! Mike
I just got back as well.. nice show.. I was surprised to see Tillmans note on the windshield too.. I was telling my gf that some kid probably put it on there trying to cause trouble and then Tilman is like "nope, i wrote it, go ahead touch it and sit in it".. Very friendly guy. I saw a couple other guys sitting next to a blue 348 spider and a yellow 348 and were talking about ferrarichat.com so i'm sure they are on here. Gosh i took around 188 pics. A carrera GT showed up as well.. what a beauty.. needed a cleaning! Overall it was a good show but no F50
A quick thanks to Bob and Jerry for making the show happen in the first place. Also, thanks to our clients who generously allowed us to show their F40 and Enzo. Great Ferrari turn out, good Maserati showing as well. The Carrera GT was driven up from Houston, so I was told, thus the bugs, dirt, etc. The owner of that car had a car in the show. Glad to be seated and indoors now. See you all next week at the Boardwalk car wash event.
Best of Show went to a Ferrari! This 512BBi took it... and that's the trophy you can see in the background...
damn! i didn't see the car available for sitting in or the cgt! i still had a great time.. i got 47 pictures, which is when my camera ran out of room.. since i dont post much and nobody knows who i am: if anyone saw a skinny tallish guy in a black catch-22 shirt.. that'd be me.. to the people who brought cars and/or organized the event.. thank you! can't think of a better day that i've ever had..
Suggestion for the organizers: Given you have 3-5 times as many Ferraris as any other marque, perhaps you should have a few additional Ferrari classes. Maybe follow our classification here: Vintage Ferraris (VF), Classic Ferraris (CF), and Modern Ferraris (MF).
Only 32 or so 348 Challenges... only 4 in yellow... and 2 were at this one show... cool! (The other one can be seen in several pictures above.)
Norwood Performance had an F50 engine out on display... sweet. Norwood is also selling a glass cover for the Testarossa engine... one car in the show had such. The Enzo was backed up to a raised walkway, making it easy to get a good look through its glass engine cover. I decided to make it easy by leaving my engine cover up.
here are a few of mine Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got to see my first Carrera GT... sweet... but I'd rather buy several Ferraris for the same money... But it was great to see that the car appears to be a driver (not a garage queen)!

An additional class for Ferrari? Hmmm. Bob and I appreciate the nice comments. In addition to Bob, there are seven other club members serving on the ItalianCarFest Committee. They all contribute heavily to the effort. Plus, 28 club volunteers prepared for the show Friday & worked the show Saturday. And, of course, the great ICF sponsors and supporters. BTW, Gaylord Texan Resort did a great job for Fri. evening's ICF Reception. And Platinum Sponsor & host of the reception Texas Driver Magazine, also provided a great photographic display on the huge screen overlooking Mission Plaza. The nearly 200 in attendance found it a spectacular, elegant event. -Jerry Lee Phillips FCNT/ICCS [email protected]

I had a great time today ... just got back to Houston an hour back ... the sheer variety of makes on display made my day ... cars: Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati, DeTomaso, Lancia, Alfa, FIAT, Abarth, some others. Bikes: Ducati, Laverda, Aprilia. I enjoyed meeting f-chatters there including one of my heros - Brian (use it or lose it guy). Hopefully he is planning some more eventful cross-country trips. Also met the Hurricane (Frances that is), Tillman, Marco, Mike, Yoshi and couple others whose names I forget. You guys were good fun. For me, the car of the event was certainly the 250 GT SWB ... I was privileged to see it in the flesh ... It was just as beautiful if not more as I envisioned to be. I loved the fact that it had the original paint with the lovely aged patina. While there was a constant hub-bub around the Enzo and F40, the SWB was sitting quietly by herself for most of the time. Maybe most of the crowd didnt realise that she was the most expensive car there and possibly the rarest after the F40 Prototype... She lwas like a grand dame in the British movies surveying the proceedings with pride. BTW Frances .... your car is pretty nice for a "beater" First Ferrari I have seen on Kumhos. Lovely seats! The Prototype F40 was awesome too with 600 HP in a 400 lb lighter body than stock according to TDM. Dayum.. I wish the car was driven more ... it had like 300 km on the clock as per the article. Also a big thank you to the organizers for putting up a great show with easy parking and everything - it was totally hassle free and fun all the way ... only thing pleeeese get my fav f-car next time by hook or crook - a 288 GTO
