Denver: Need independent shop for major service on 348

Hello all. So my 348 has finally decided that it needs attention, namely belts, cam seals, major service. Helms is back logged and i need to get this done asap and have no desire to go to FoD. I have a new car coming and do not have room for both, so i either want to get this car serviced and ready for sale or sell as is ... any suggestions besides SR or FoD?

Thanks in advance

Mike

pulled off the inspection covers and the belt appears to be fine (yes i know it is hard to tel from looking but no visible signs of any wear and no black dust inside) so that is good news. Bad news is that when i start the car, after about 20 secs there is a good amount of smoke that appears... does not smell like oil, smells like rubber. I worried that the cam belt tensioner may be seized, but after running for a few mins the back of the belt was stone cold so doubt that is the problem. Now suspecting the tensioner for the alternator. prior to putting the car up and checking have any of you had experience replacing that tensioner with engine in? anything else to consider that would create that smoke from front of the engine?

alt belt off and it needs to be replaced. noticed that the alt got quite warn when running and suspected a bearing failure. Once the belt was off it was easy to feel that the bearing and the tensioner were both running freely. have an increasing oil leak around cam seals and suspect that all that oil that has settled into the alt is what is now causing the smoke. now that the alt belt is off awaiting replacement i am going to run the car again and if the smoke is gone i at least know the culprit is the alternator or the belt.

Well since FoD is not an Indy shop, after almost 3 months of no responses, I think you got your answer.

Eurosport in Arvada, at 5615 Lamar Street, just completed some fine work on my 308. I recommend them.
