Wuz up with C&C @ GI this morning...?

Drove down from Boulder. Arrived at 9AM. No one there.

Just Mike w/ 308 GTBi and my Mondial t cab. Rik and Joy in their C6 Corvette (also from Boulder area) came down a few minutes after.

Nice to speak with them...but what happened to everyone else? Is WEEKLY meet too much?

John

Yeah, but where was EVERYONE else? Certainly not at GI !!

I think that it might help if GI got to a more formal date, rather than weekly. It won't take many more 50 mile drives with no one there for me to deep six the event entirely.

Might we consider going back to the Second Saturday of the Month, with Boulder remaining on the first Saturday?

The "formal" date for the GI meet is the second Saturday of every month.

Last Sat, everyone was at Lambo Denver

If you're already driving that far south, why not just go to the Cars and Coffee event at Southlands? It always has a good mix of exotics + classics + muscle cars. It's maybe 9 or 10 minutes from Park Meadows

Great Indoors: 8/22/09
Car of the day had to be the 1936 Delahaye that was raced at LeMans and in the Monaco Grand Prix!

Amazing car to see on the street before it heads off to run in the Colorado Grand next month

Then after hanging out at the GI a few of us headed out for a drive down to Castle Pines to check out the Vintage Car Club show which included a 1920's Bugatti as well as many other cars. Then a drive back to FoD to check out what they had, followed then by lunch

A good day indeed.
