FCA St. Louis Event - Saturday Feb. 4
Here is our upcoming event. Scheduled for a Saturday hoping that it makes it easier for folks outside the immediate St. Louis vicinity to join us.
Jeff Welcome in 2012! Post Holiday Dinner Party Saturday February 4, 2012 Open Bar at 6:00 pm Dinner at 7:00 pm Join us for a night of frivolity and good food to start our Tifosi season for 2012. All the commotion of the holidays will be over so let’s get to the need to have fun again! We will be gathering at Il Bel Lago in Creve Coeur. The bar will open at 6:00 pm followed by dinner commencing at 7:00 pm. So that everyone has the maximum in flexibility, ordering will be from the menu. If the weather cooperates it just might make a fine opportunity for some of our favorite cars to break out of hibernation too. Event Report as supplied to Prancing Horse:
February 4, 2012 Post Holiday Dinner Party The weather this winter in St. Louis has been incredibly mild, so far. This boded well for our first gathering of 2012 for the Missouri & Southern Illinois Chapter for a dinner at Il Bel Lago. While the drizzle all day did preclude the use of our favorite cars there were reports of some of the cars having been in use recently when it had not been raining. By the official start time of 6:00 pm for the reception people were already in attendance. As we got closer to the 7:00 pm dinner start the crowd was getting larger and larger with the group spilling from the main dining area into the bar. By the ascribed start time everyone was rounded up and picked their seats. Chapter President Evan Crandall made a brief welcoming address and advised that there are 9 events planned for the year. We had a great turnout with a total of 40 people. This included a few of our newest members that we were able to give warm welcomes to. Also joining in were 3 of the 11 members (Dan & Susie Feinberg, Jack & Brenda Reuter, Tom & Cindy Welch) that founded our Chapter in 1972. Now we all look forward to better weather so the cars can come out and play too!
