Hi Nathan,
It looks like you found a very nice 308 though I do agree the price seems on the steep side. I’ve got an ’85 QV. Had it for a few years now - it runs like a top and has never needed a flatbed. 308s in general are pretty robust/reliable and while I wouldn’t say you’d never need a tow, I think those occurrences would be pretty rare (assuming we are talking about a well sorted car). Any issues I’ve had I’d describe as “discretionary” – i.e. not absolutely required (e.g. parking brake, warm up stumbling). I’ve taken the car to Tim (2NA) – he knows these cars, is independent and you work directly with him which is something I prefer. Feel free to PM me if you’d like. Michael |

308 Carb'ed car "too much work"?
I have been doing a little research on the carb'ed 308. The opinions seem to be split...1/2 say that the 4 carbs are a pain inthe a@$ and should be left to the masochistic/professionals and the other 1/2 saying that the carbs are the only way to go.
I think I'll move this discussion to the 308/328 thread. I searched over there an didn't find any (recent) thread on this topic. |
