F430_ENVY Introduction
Greetings all. This is my first post and coming over from the Corvette Forum, I hope to find honest (and respectful) opinions regarding a used purchase of an F430.....
Although I am comfortable in my lifestyle, I do not have deep pockets or an open check book. However, I don't see why I couldn't afford a $130K Ferrari F430 if I placed a decent down payment. The question I have is, what is the maintenance upkeep on one of these rides? I have heard horror stories like, oil costs $75.00 per quart, engines have to be dropped for oil changes, belt tightening are $1300, Tune Ups cost $1500+, etc. What is the maintenance upkeep like for a Ferrari owner? I know, some of you may say "If you have to ask....." but that is not the answer I would like to hear. I would much appreciate honesty in maintenance and the respect as a potential owner. I am not considering to purchase within the next 2 years, but when I retire by age 50 (within 5 years.) I have worked hard all my life and think this would be an excellent present to myself for all my hard work. Advice, suggestions? What I am interested most in, is the F430 Spyder (preferrably Novitec-Rosso), and, I was fortunate enough to meet Natalia from Novitec-Rosso at the Frankfurt IAA Car Show. Cheers to all. Go easy on me, but this is my Daily Driver: http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/PICT7353.jpg |

F430 Maintenance
I have a 2007 F430 Spider and it costs a good bit to maintain it. Just count on 5k per year and you'll hit it about right.
