Moto Guzzi LeMans

Where can I find a very nice Guzzi LeMans V and what's a fair (to buyer and to seller) price to pay? The ones I've come across so far ride and look like their owners have not loved them that much. Surely, they can't all be clunky, tractor-like rides--can they?

The ride is old-school. Thats part of the charm.
Check Wildgeese forums.
Also there is a V11 forum.
Do daily searches on ebay and cycletrader.
I bought a rocketship Ducati after tracking LeMan's for about 6 months when the Duck magically appeared for a steal just miles away.
A LeMans may have been more right for what I am after.
Now thinking about a Norge so I'll have a bike at opposite ends of the spectrum.

David,
thanks. I'll add those two sources to others and look patiently. If at all possible I want to get the best one on the planet--price difference can't be that big and in my experince it's always been worth it.

Where are you located?
Classic 70's style Lemans or the newer version from the early's 00's?

I'm in Longmont, CO (18 mi from Denver) and I'm looking for a carburated LeMans Mark III, IV or V. Will pay a premium price for a premium bike.

If you can afford to step up to the plate get a 1st series bike.
The one that started it all.
In the process you'll never loose a nickle.
My undying respect is an included freebie

Art,
Yep, Buzz and I go back 50 yrs.
Looks like I've found a very low mileage (14K mi) LeMans IV, Special Edition (one of 92 imported in '87) and will pick it up in a few days if all goes well. I know it's old school (as I am) but it'll be one of several bikes in the stable so no worries regarding its reliability. At this point, it's more about uniqueness, aesthetics and sentiment. We'll see how it all turns out--wish me luck.

Surely pretty to look at, but never ridden one. Would love a Guzzi Daytona, something like this:
