Maybe they'll do better at the Isle of Man this year?

Is there really an attraction to this thing or any electric bike? It sounds absurd like those little bicycles with motors on them chinese delivery guys use. I don't really see many existing riders going over to this and quite a hard sell if you test ride this and a real bike.

For now they are just expensive toys. Their range limitation (just like EV cars) remains their biggest downfall. Not to mention cost, as the numbers simply do not add up over the life of the bike.
As a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, I have no interest whatsoever in owning one. Just think of the cool real motorcycles you can buy for $17k. |

I think the answer is more that it's a vast improvement over their previous bike (which hardly anyone bought), than that it's comparable to normal bikes.
There are electric motorcycles out there which are pretty darn cool, but I'm not convinced that Brammo's bike is one of them. |

I like it. Looks pretty cool and the fact that it uses a clutch is neat.
