Thanks Dan. This is a beautiful car - low miles with the same ripped top as a lot of other members have. Car will also get a full major and other 'while we're in there' if needed.

Would love to keep both Mondials, but wife won't let me keep 4 Ferrari's.

Thanks,
Erik

Haha, already paying for space to store one off-site - can't keep that up forever - small town, not too many Ferrari's

I'm using this thread as ammunition with my wife that I need more Ferraris. I'll further argue that by being honest and asking that I should be rewarded. The other day she said the 456 has a cool European look to it (she likes it better than the 550). I know what will be next .

Looking forward to the top installation process.

I've been working on getting a 456 for a very long time. Can't seem to find the 'right one' for me. Not as many out there as I'd like - especially non 'm', stick shift ones. (I like the look of the non 'm' better).

Fantastic car otherwise.

Do you happen to have a picture of the way the rearmost section of the top is held down at the joint of the buttress post?

Here is my thread from when we replaced ours.

Mondial cabrio top replacement

If I understand the question, the top material has a piece of aluminum glued inside that gives the shape to the very end of the buttress area. One of the chrome boot cover posts holds it down. You then have to release the pressure from the buttress bar to unclip the sides of the top that cover the buttress. Clearer than mud?
