Hank, I think they said that on the first go around a year ago, hopefully we won't see you for a long time after this is what I would expect Bradan to say to Ted, lol! Glad to see this service coming to an end!

Cheers!

yes, i just got off the phone with Bradan and heres where we are:

- My car gets on the dyno today to run it through its paces checking every function
They will go through 2 tanks of gas until they are satisfied that it is completely sorted and there are no issues.

-There is still an issue with a 5/8 slow down light, during the dyno they will observe it and when it illuminates, then source the problem. They are certain its either the TC or the ECU, my cats are good, my timing is spot on, and my injectors are clean. As soon as the culprit is identified, they will call me and i will order the part and overnight it.

-Thursday it is scheduled to go in for the complete detailing since it will no longer get dirty.

-Once the SDL issue is identified and detailing done, they will schedule the return transport. My hypotheses is an after Memorial day reunion. (5/29)

i'm cool with this timeline.

That's great news Ted, my bet is on the Thermocouple wire. Ask them to inspect the wire for any rubbing or frail insulation around it. Mine had that problem and I fixed it with Termo tape. The slow down lights never came back on since. It was rubbing against the edge of the cat metal wire to metal, causing the slowdown to flicker or stay on at times when the engine was hot.

yes, i'm hoping this is the problem and if it is, i'll go ahead and order 2 new ones and have it done, for good. I guess TC's are around $40-50 ea so a hundred buck would be good news.

but I'm wondering now if Bradan said 2 gas tanks or 2 gallons, i hope its the ladder. I can't imagine they need 2 tanks to get a good idea if she is sound.

I don't think the TCs are $40-50, I have seen them for $900 for my 3.2, not sure about the t models. Do you know how many hours it would take to go thru 2 gas tanks? Thats like over 400 miles of driving. Two gallons on the dyno and testing sounds more realistic I would think. Maybe Bradan can try swapping yours with another in the shop and see if the light goes away, then its for sure a TC problem.

Ricambi has the TC for t for $707.

yea, i think i misunderstood or it was mis said on the amount of running they're going to do. When i hung up i thought about it and thought the same, "thats like 600 miles" can't be right.

Hmmm, Bradan must have a really cheap source on the TC's because he claimed 40-50 bucks, but he did say "i could be wrong"

lol i'll pray for the tape!

I've seen it in a movie, maybe the mileage comes off if Bradan drives it backwards, lol .

Seriously, I'm sure it won't be a big deal, maybe Bradan can rebuild it and only replace the new wire for alot less but you don't want to know how much an ECU costs??? ouch!

if it turns out to be the TC or the ECU are there alternatives to the "Ferrari" brand? has anyone found aftermarket equivalents or other manufacturers that work? thats just silly money for the TC's

Turns out my SDL is a result of a bad TC. 300 bucks from Ricambi and it's on it's way to Bradan overnight. My car is going in for a full detail tomorrow. Getting closer!!

Memorial day weekend is perfect timing sounds good. I read your other posts on Bradan putting mileage on your car and I think general rule of thumb is around 100 miles to make sure a car is sorted out. When I drove my car after it had been serviced they had put 100 miles on it to make sure there were no issues and I've read of other shops doing the same with cars that have been sitting for awhile.
