Hope to see you both there.

I'll PM you if there is anything I need help with, such as transporting a few extra things in your car that day. Probably won't need to impose on you, but thanks for the offer.

Also, if you are interested in taking a ride in the world's only flying Curtiss SB2C Helldiver plane, let me know.

This is one of the Warbird planes that will be at the National Capitol Squadron hanger this weekend for the event.

The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver was a carrier-based dive bomber aircraft produced for the United States Navy during World War II.
It replaced the Douglas SBD Dauntless in US Navy service.

Here's a pic of it.

Ron, I am how much is it? I would like to get my father out to this, but his MS restricts him from traveling far and the heat, but he would love it if he could make it out. I would love to!

It is $1100 for a ride in the Helldiver.
Other planes are quite a bit less to ride in, such as the T28 Trojan or T6 Texan.
Also, in prior years there was a Waco biplane giving rides.
I don't know the current prices for the other planes but they are in the neighborhood of $200 to $400 per ride.

Taking the 458.

For those coming to the event, the street address to put into your GPS for Culpeper Airport is:
12499 Beverly Ford Road, Brandy Station, VA 22714

The NCS hangar can be seen on Google Maps here:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=12499+...nia+22714&z=14

Should be a fun day. Looking forward to it.

Here's a pic from last year.

Still time for a few more folks to register for this event.
Send me a PM or an email.
Come spend a nice Saturday with WWII-era airplanes, Ferraris, friends, and a hosted BBQ lunch cooked on the grill.
