Cars and Coffee - Fairlakes, VA

I was invited to a new Cars and Coffee that's held at the Fairlakes Starbucks. They just started this up a few weeks ago, so the turn is still very small. Today there was a total of (10) cars.

Porsche 997
Porsche 998
'86 Porsche 911 Targa
'85 Porsche 911 Euro Version
'73 Porsche 911
Ferrari 328 GTB
'07 Ferrari F430
Corvette Z06
Corvette ZR1
Corvette

But they're hoping to get more people to come out. Which is why I'm posting the details here. Hopefully for those who cannot make Katie's Cars & Coffee on Saturday's can come out to Fairlakes. Here are the details:

When: Every SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!!!
Time: 8:30 AM - 10 AM (or there abouts)
Where: Starbucks @ Fairlakes Circle
12599 Fair Lakes Circle
Fairfax, VA 22033

It's located near the Kohl's and Dick's Sporting Goods stores. There's PLENTY of parking!!

Enjoy the photos!

Bill,

Excellent photos... It does not have that courtyard feeling of a Katie's Cars & Coffee but it sure is a ton of parking and starting out the day with a bunch of car nuts is always great--- regardless of where you hang...

It was great seeing you, Ferraritime (Rosso Corsa Enzo Ferrari signed 430), and Scuderia NoVA (Argento Nurburgring 328 GTB).

I'll have to bring some Italian muscle next Sun rather than my Tangerine '73 911.

Thanks again for the pics.

Looking forward to seeing more Fcars and Fchatters next Sun.

Bill,

As usual, the pictures are awesome! Great to see you, SCUD-NOVA and SCUD-VA. . .clarification from related thread noted

SCUD-VA does indeed need to show up at least occassionally in that screamin' SCUD. . .or call sign has to change to Porsche-VA or some such. LOL

Always enjoy hanging out with fellow car nuts. Looking forward to next weekend's events.

Ferraritime.

I'd like to correct my post above as there IS NO Porsche 998! The Dark Blue (which looked Black - that had the roll bar) is a 997 and the Silver Porsche was a 996.

I'm still learning the Porsche models (even though they all LOOK THE SAME)!!!!

RP,

You're right...Fairlakes does not have that "Courtyard" feeling BUT it DOES have the parking space!! RP, Anthony, Jerry, it was great seeing you guys today! I agree, it would be really nice if we could get a large Italian turnout next Sunday! What do you say guys??

Good times! Thanks for posting the pictures, Bill P.! Now both my boys can go see cars with dad on the same weekend instead of having to alternate Saturdays. Cheaper than having to buy a 456 or a Mondial. :-)

I'm going to try to stop by and check this out. I'm not too far from here, hopefully I can help get the word out and this can have a greater turnout.

KhanArt,

Look forward to meeting you! I'll be the one running around taking pictures.

For those of you who are not familiar with Fairlakes. It's in Fairfax County!! It's right off I-66 and the Fairfax County Parkway. Here's the address once again (which you can Google):

Starbucks @ Fairlakes Circle
12599 Fair Lakes Circle
Fairfax, VA 22033

When you get off I-66, take Fairfax County Parkway (7100) North.
Turn Right at the first stop light (Fair lakes Parkway).
Turn Right at the next stop light (Fair Lakes Circle).
Go past the next light and the Starbucks is located on the left hand side (next to Kohl's).

Bill,

If all goes well I'll be there tomorrow. I put the word out to some of the bmw crowd, so hopefully some higher end beemers will show up. I honestly do not know many exotic owners but I had a muscle car a few years back so I can reach out to some people in that crowd too.

Well...we got rained out today.

Thanks to RCOLLUM for bring his Lotus Elise, BOBERT for his Corvette, FERRARITIME(and his son Alex) in their MB Daily Driver, Justin (sorry if I got the name wrong - again) for coming out in the BMW Z8, Mustafa and Jun for their M3's and a BIG THANK YOU to Rick for representing FoW/LoW with a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder. Poor Rick was out there since 6:30 AM!!! because he thought it was the same time as the Great Falls Cars & Coffee. Rick, thank's for sticking around and waiting for us!

Hopefully we'll have better weather next week and MORE cars!! Here are some of the pics I took before the rain came.

Sunday's weather is calling for: Partly cloudy with a stray thunderstorm. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 60s.

Who's going?

I will try to make it out, but I have to drive to PIT later in the day to pick up the dog from my inlaws, so right now I would say I am about 30%
MB

P.S. If the guys shows up with the black 930 I may have to conk him over the head and have my friend take the car home with us - that thing is BEAUTIFUL!

Matt,

I hope you can make it. At least then I'll be able to say "Hi" instead of missing you at Great Falls because of all the people!!

So if I come, it rains cats and dogs, and if I leave it parked, it becomes sunny. This weather kills me, it really does.

Keep in mind if I had an 84+ I would be more likely to do it, but with an 83 I have no rust proofing, and my 308 doesn't see rain if I can help it...
