Not much worth IMO....
Well, if someone is using Maserati's IP/trademarks without Maserati SpA's express permission (usually given in the form of a licence) to manufacture and sell these enamel signs, Maserati SpA will definitely want to know, and will seek legal redress against the person or persons who have infringed their IP for profit.

They'd have their balls I reckon, if what the Ferrari Club in Aus went through with them is anything to go by.

I was going to say put them in the garage and enjoy them! Anyway, let us know the ebay number or link.

Well, called a couple of mates yesterday and ended up speaking to a prominent Maserati collector from Melbourne yesterday, he was very helpful and seemed quite certain of the source of the sign, (mentioned an odd sounding surname and that he though the guy who made them was a bit of try hard **** and was renowned for that sort of thing ).

Thank you for your help,I'm a new car person so I don't have the contacts in the old car world.Have no interest in keeping the signs,as they are not Maserati sanctioned.Would feel like I was the owner of a fake set of Nike runners.
If contacted by a legal firm,I shall pass the signs onto them ,rather then selling them. The issue would be if they ask where the signs came from,we now know that.Should I give them those details?

Hi, my view (for what's it's worth) would be NOT to sell them on ebay. Just hand the signs over to Maserati SpA and the name of the person who infringed and profited from their IP. If you do that, you'll stay out of Maserati SpA's lawyers' crosshairs. Sell them on ebay and they'll gun for you too. Best to keep you nose clean, as Maserati SpA do not **** around with this stuff. Also, to them it's not about the money, it's the principle. They pursue all copyright infractions, no matter how small, ESPECIALLY where someone is selling unlicenced goods/merchandise. It's a HUGE no-no.

Good luck and let us know how you go.

Thank you for that.Going to hand them into the lawyers if and when contacted,if asked I shall say I have little or no knowledge as to the signs history of purchase.
I'm not one to cause problems for others.
What type does this fake logo profiteering it reminds me of fake Nike runners or fake Rolex watch.

Well the offender is a lucky guy, then. He may not be so lucky when the next guy raises an issue with the authenticity of these signs with Maserati SpA, or if they try to sell them on eBay, etc.

Keep in mind that the Ferrari SpA lawyers lurk here looking for evidence of IP infringement, too. They leave no stone unturned, as the Australian Ferrari Club discovered. Some website/forum owners too, who weren't making a buck but were just sharing their passion on-line. The Ferrari SpA lawyers gave them hell.

I feel like contacting the maker of these signs and demand a refund or compensation.I wonder how many others have been caught out with these signs.

advertising goods

I wonder how many valve caps, key fobs, banners, hats, T shirts, etc. are marketed without consent? In some ways I'd think it benefits the marques represented as it is an extension of consumer/enthusiast awareness. Free advertising in my book. I mean, just how active is the factory in marketing these aftermarket goods? Are they losing sales?

Don`t know why you all are still discussing on that subject.

It is not original, its cheap and no brand on this planet likes to see its logo highjacked by fakers! This is not new and well known. Period!
