Nice photo Marc! It clearly shows all the uglyness of the US-requested bumper specification.

Ciao!

Thank you: if I had known what I was photographing (I was 17) I would have done like Ed Niles wrote in a 250LM post a couple of days ago: p'd on that US bumper:-)

I can not recommend Garage Limacher as a serious acting company. I made some bad experiences with them. Be supercareful if you should ever deal with them !!!

Hmmm...I don't know them at all other than the fact that on my only visit Mrs Limacher kindly delayed her closing the showroom even though I clearly stated I was not a buyer as I rushed down from Zurich in mid september so I could see the two Khamsin's, I was crossing Switzerland back from Zurich toard the Villars Ollon hillclimb . She greeted me with an offer of beverage showed me the two cars...then said I have a surprise...there was a third Khamsin there (!) but not for sale, a marroon client's car: that was very nice.

There were a lot of Maseratis there, I mean proper classic GT cars, including basket case projects, restorations.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

Ghibli and Khamsin pictures

Unfortunately I do not have the VIN number of the Bora. I sold the car maybe two or three years
ago. I also do not know who was the previous owner. As I said I purchased this car from
a dealer in Canada, and that is all I know of the car.
Sorry

Ghibli and Khamsin pictures

I love too the classic Maseratis. I do find the Ghibli and Khamsin beautiful, with
a slight inclination towards the Ghibli. I do not think that I have ever
seen a side view or profile as elegant as the Ghibli.
I really have not driven the cars since the beginning of the winter,
with the snow too much salt on the roads, and these cars cannot stand salt.
I am just eagerly looking at the weather forecast hoping for not more snow.
Then on the road again.

Pascal: you were asking about additional headlights to clear the peasants out of the fast lane:-)

This photo, not recent and low res, is of a Japanese Khamsin, with "interesting" wheels which with the white makes it look like a pimp mobile but it does have additional headlights behind the grille which is a smart place to put them so they are out of harm's way.

Best regards,

Marc

Here is a very small photot of that tuned car in Germany mentioned in an earlier post by Walter, the white car with modern wide wheels: somehow I found this photo deep in Italian websites and had the impression it was near Rome but apprently not.

The car saw Italy only once (in Modena!). When Cozza saw this "sperm-white"-metallic he immediatly had Amy Whinehouses (much later) tunes "No, No, No..!" on his lips....!

Ciao!

:-) Actually another K I mentioned earlier, AM120270, is white and lives just 20kms from Modena. I doubt Signor Cozza would know or care about some young singer, like us he likes racing noises! He told me that in he old days his wife could hear the racing engines being tuned at the factory many blocks away and when they went silent she knew he would be over soon so started cooking dinner!

CHALLENGING QUESTION:

Here it is: has anyone ever seen a Khamsin in a movie or TV fictional episode? I haven't but it might well have happened at least once: anybody?

Well it could be a very short one! We're not talking about 308 sightings in TV shows in Hawaii with a goofy mustachioed detective:-).

I know of a Mistral a 3500 Vignale spyder, the Ghibli in la Piscine, a Merak in Scarface, QP III's in various forgettabe 80'2 movies like K9 but a Khamsin hah that would be a nice find.

Marc, there are much more classic Maserati in movies! And I am not talking about QP III`s or strange Biturbos!

I know if
1 Ghibli-Spyder
1 Mistral Spyder
2 Vignale Spyder
2 A6G 1500
2 Ghibli
1 3500 Touring-Spyder
1 3500 Allemano Prototipo (see my new thread!)
1 250F

Ciao!
Walter
