Great picture!

We are allmost there, just 350 kms away. Trier is wunderbar, and a cold Bitburger tastet great after 770 kms. today. Our car may need a wash before we line it up. Is it possible to do at the castle?

We turned off the Autobahn for the last leg, and the Khamsin was more happy on the country side roads with less trafic. We look forward to see you all tomorrow.

Regards
Marius and Hanne

Hello all,

What a day!

Sorry I can t post photos from this computer but 15 Khamsins here; the prototype in a truck from Holland all the others arrived safely and this is just day one, tomorrow the rest arrives for a total of 28 this weekend, not a single mechanical breakdown despite transcontinental journeys and I am also happy to say signor Ermanno Cozza and Fabio Collina from the factory arrived safely, very special to see them here I can tell you and tomorrow Marcello Gandini will arrive in the afternoon....was just walking the line up (1am here) outside and....I can't describe the feeling seeing so many lined up....reminds me of one of my first sightings of one in Divonne in 1978 in front of the casino pure magic!

As a reminder the previous record was 11 in the Austrian International club meeting in 1988...when they were used cars!

Right bed time!

More news and photos tomorrow and then lots early next week,

signing off from Burgundy,

Marc

Sob! Sob! Sob!

Just feeling very sorry for myself! Our plans changed a week or so ago so i potentially had a chance to make a last ditch drive. Changed the plug leads to cure the miss, but turned out was additionally a cracked distributor cap which may arrive today/monday!

Have a great time and please take lots of pics of Mr Gandini with the cars.

Is your book going to be there too? If so would be brilliant if Mr Gandini could sign lots of copies that are to be posted to those who have pre ordered the book! Hint, hint!

Well done for organising and arranging!

Paul
xxxxx for you all

I hope the dinner went well!!

Hi All
Kind of weird being woken up at 550am Sydney time by a French voice which was Marc.
10 minutes latter and I am on a loud speaker addressing the 60 guests all via my mobile.
I have no idea if they could hear me but It was an honour the address the gathering and with such distiguished guests present.
403 went for a Club run today ( picture) and great shame the car wasnt at Khamsin Quaranta, however part of it was more on that latter

Cheers
Graeme

Hi Marc,

Congratulation to organization of such outstanding event. I could even feel the spirt 5000km away. In Farsi language one would say "Khaste Nabashid" which translates to "Don't be tired".

Warmest regards,

Armaz

Fantastic! All who were there, please post photos and videos. I'd be interested especially in seeing details of both the prototype and the rag top conversion.

Marc, great job! Surely this event is among the most significant Maserati get-togethers. Still waiting for the publishing of the Citroen years book.

Hey Graeme,

We heard you ok. It was a great event with great people. Both the cars and folk made the event and Marc has to be congratulated for organising it.

Highlight for me was meeting with Marchello, Ermano and Fabio, three very special guys.

The special print of the original design sketch handed out by Mr Cozza and Colina which Mr Gandini then signed for most of us is going to have special place at home.

I will post some pictures when I get home as I'm on hotel wi-fi on the return journey.

It was truely an awesome event.

What a day!

Hi Khamsinisti,

Great pictures and Marc, it must be very satisfying to have this many cars together after all the time and energy spent on the event!
Sorry for not being able to be there with the T-Top but I cannot win them all. I had to set priorities.

All the best!

Ciao,

Bart

Looks like a fantastic and successful arrangement, congrats to everyone who made it.

I'm curious about the light blue spider - was that a factory special order option, or done privately later?

The cars really come into their own in a group and the photo's look great!

Back home.

Mark, what you have given us Khamsinisti with this event... I think we'll only really know in many years, when we'll still have beautiful memories of this magic weekend. People from many countries, cultures and backgrounds coming together as friends even if they never met before. All bound by the spell of this special car. Great cars from perfect ones to frequent drivers with some scars. 120004. The convertible. Arranged in a wonderful chateau and chased through the winding country roads of burgundy. Great wines, great food, great waether.

Thank you Mark! Thank you very much indeed!

Timo
