It was my first visit to New Orleans. I arrived on Monday 10/10 and I found a Ferrari F430 1 1/2 blocks from my hotel. It was a good way to start my trip. I did learn from a Harrah's valet that Bruce Willis shot a scene there for an upcoming movie this past month. They shipped in 9 exotics to place in front of the casino to be in the scene. It would of been a blast to see those cars (it would of kept me out of the casino -LOL.) Also, I talked with a valet at Harrah's Hotel (Ruth Chris). He has a regular customer who dines once a week. He's supposed to own 2 Ferrari's and a yellow Lamborghini.
I really enjoyed my visit. |

Red 550 at the valet area of the Hilton on North Market in Shreveport this morning. The exotics are always there for the weekend, no point in looking during the week.

Lime-green Porsche GT3-RS parked illegally on the side street by Houston's here in New Orleans. License plate of "M.D." not helping the cause...
I loved how the first owner of the black F50 used to have no problem parking in between two cars in a movie theater parking lot. That's what's up.

I couldn't agree more. Anytime I see a car - any car- parked where upon it is taking more than one space, parked diagonally or in a HC space, I just think: JACKASS. And that's one time when if I'd see someone keying it, towing it, etc... I look the other way. Rudeness and arrogance begets impending disaster. |

Now to that point, M.D. on your tag is cheesy beyond imagination, and parking like a jackass so that it interferes with others isn't cool. But I'll be the first to park away from the crowds to try and avoid some 99%er who may try to take his retribution out on my obviously fat cat way of life all day. Moral of the story, nothing wrong with trying to avoid a door ding, just don't do it so that it obstructs others needlessly. |

There was a CL AMG with, I think, Renntech badges in Mandeville. A red 430 on Magazine street and this was at Ruth's Chris in Metairie. LFA?

It's been my experience that people here in Louisiana are much less tolerant of exotic cars and our interest in keeping them pristine than anywhere else I've lived (TX, CA, NM). I find that anywhere else I can park as far away as I want, and even take up two spaces (which I rarely do, because of my Louisiana upbringing).
But in Louisiana even parking far away results in spiteful reactions. If I had a nickel for every time in the past that I would complete the lengthy journey back to my car at the end of the lot only to find a couple junkers parked up so close to me that I could barely get in, then I could have afforded all the door dings that the soccer-mom/sorority girls yabbing on their cell phone provided to my cars. People are just hateful, spiteful animals and around here the chips-on-shoulders are really, really big for some reason. Because of this I RARELY park the Lambo anywhere here. People are just too hateful to be able to sit back and just enjoy the car, as I or anyone else here in this forum would. I either take the Noble for wartime parking duty or I just take the wife's Escape. |

Not sure, it was a Sunday and the dealership wasn't open. FWIW I didn't notice any sale sign or price tag.
