here is the link: Ferrari F 550 Maranello / 1. Hand / Vollausstattung as Sports Car/Coupe in Anzing bei München what do you think about it ? Could the engine even withstand it? I do not speak german, so I don't know what are they writing about the car(if engine is original etc.) so maybe someone who speaks german can tell us.
Why not ? We've had many V12 & V8 way beyond 100 000 even 200 000 miles If you really want to know Google (or Ebay etc etc) translate will do the work for you but I believe they are suggesting 1 owner full service history & originally spec'd by Willi Weber for Michael Schumacher
I am sure there are more out there with such mileages. It's just that most won't be advertised/sold as such. (and be either clocked or held on to) Part of the reason for this is that there is so much hype around mileage with Ferraris that most buyers seem to think they fall apart at 30k miles. They don't.
Ordered by willy weber for M. Schumacher, but he didn't take the car. One owner, every bill available, every service made. Capristo exhaust, new exhaust manifolds. All keys and fobs. No open service, serviced everytime with original parts. There are no informations about the engine or the technic in detail. The rest are informations about the company which selks the car. Daniel
Dayum, that thing has every option and since Google translator lists "Sports Package", plus the fact it's a '99 we can assume it's a FHP car too. Oh, if cars could talk I'd bet she has some good stories to tell.
I looked at the car last week as I liked the idea of the mileage (although mechanics who serviced my 355 I spoke to were a little less keen) and potentially being the first person to take a 550 to half a mil km. Overall it looks good, a little stone chipped. it is on mismatched winter tyres which is not great. First and second gear are very tough to engage (supposedly it was set up this way for the last owner), third gear is fine. I did not drive the car, so cant opine on changes once the oil is warm. I guess this is something a PPI could establish. The invoices were not at their premises yet, so unfortunately could not check what work had been done. the guy said it drives very well. I think the spec with the seats and carbon pieces looks great and the interior looked in very good condition for the mileage. I think it has Capristo back boxes, not sure about the rest of the exhaust system.
There was a 456 with much more mileage on it - I believe 200K Miles - and there is a 599 with 234K miles on it as well.

Wowowow... Mine is now at 62K miles which is roughly about 100K in kms... I thought my car is high mileage... Now seeing this one running at 266K Kms, mine is not even half way of his... Still got long way to go... Impressive... Got to drive more and more... Alex
Looks to be in very condition for the mileage. I really like this seats, not an option too commonly seen in 550's.
1962 v12 no problems just lots of fun 3 different colors in 10 years cheers, Bill Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bill- Like I have said before, that may be the prettiest Ferrari ever. Especially since she was a one-off. And on a SWB chassis.
what color is your 550? if it's red keep me in mind if you ever decide to sell it. i love higher mileage F cars. All the fun for a much discounted price!
Don't blame you the more miles the better they run (with proper service) This car will become part of my estate love it way to much to ever sell it ! cheers, Bill Image Unavailable, Please Login
166 000 miles = 270 000 km. Might need new piston rings, then it will run for many., many more kilometers!
