I have noticed a large number of members who like BMW's. Come out and play

Do you own one now? If so, share some pictures please!

What models are your favorites?

Any cool BMW stories to tell?

Do you have pictures from event you have been to?

Let's see some enthusiasm here!

I've got an '03 2.5L z4. I love the little thing. So easy to drive, can practically squeeze anywhere to park... I am never going to part with her!

Have a '97 Z3 2.8 in Montreal blue over tan - great for bombing around here in the mountains. Can't say I'm a "BMW guy" though - I have no friggin' idea what all that E this and E that speak means.

I'm a bit of a BMW guy. Don't own one currently but I'm a big fan of E30 and E36 3 series. Bimmerforums is a good board to hang out on.

Just traded in my 2007 Audi Q7 for a 2011 BMW X5 diesel.

Great car so far.

I am on my sixth one. Started in 1997 with a 528i and now have a 2011 740LI. That generation of "5's" from 1997-2004 were one of my favorite mid size cars.

I had 1993 E36 325is from 1997-2006. I drove the heck out of it and got me into motorsports, autocrossed it several years. Also thank the BMW for FerrariChat... when I bought the 328 GTS in 2000 I looked for a community online like I used for BMW and couldn't find it, so I started FerrariChat!

I have owned quite a few, ranging from an injected E9, to three E24s, E31, E46, E38 and E89. Still have the last two. Great cars. Can be needy, but the drive is worth it.

Favorites are easy:
Sedan: E38
Coupe: 'The Big coupes': E9, E24, and E31
Convert (modern): E89
Super car: E26

I was a huge BMW fan in the 90s. Didnt really get into the Bangle era.

Some of my favorites that Ive owned:

Early 90s 325is burgundy red (cant remember year)
1996 M3 black on black
1999 M Roadster red on black

Loved all of them. Wish I had kept them

+1 I've had over 10 BMW's from the 90's. Mostly variations of the E36 with a couple of 5 series and Z3's sprinkled in. The bangle era, two lemons and a dealer network that acted like they were doing me a favor all conspired to end that love affair for good. I wouldn't drive a BMW today if the keys were dropped off at my door by Santa Claus himself.

1993, added the M3 wheels and spoiler, no I did not put a 'M' tag on it!

also had some adjustable shocks, 4 point harness, and had DOT R slicks on the stock 15" wheels.

Great car, but pricey when things went wrong, more so than the FIAT's.

Yep, absolutely!

A work mate owned this 1994 M3. He had it for around 12 months back going into 2006 when the fan viscous coupling wore out and the car started overheating.

He ordered a new genuine part from BMW in Brisbane and paid AU $987 for it back in late 2006.

He fit it, then sold the car soon afterwards as he was paranoid it was going to be a money pit and send him broke over time.
