If not it can easily be added. Believe it or not. There is even a kit for the 3X8 cars.

I say wait and get what you really want - the 360. Why compromise? Prices will continue to drop so your entry point will get meaningfully better, imho. Keep your eyes open now though so you can be educated and ready to pull the trigger when the time comes.

Best of luck!

Asking the question should tell you the answer already.

Actually, I've had a few people recommend the 360 to me as a better alternative. "Better" is really a very subjective term, depending on what experience you're after:
General Forums > Ferrari Discussion (not model specific) > "Must have (reasonably priced) car before you die..?" > No hesitation: the Ferrari 348. (NeuroBeaker's post)
Honestly, I think the 360 is a terrific Ferrari. I really like the look of it, it sounds great, and I was thrilled to get to see and sit in a Challenge Stradale when some FChatters invited me to view their cars:
Regional Areas - International > United Kingdom > "Somewhere in Scotland... at an undisclosed location..."
I would really like a 360, I've seen a number of them in person now and they are always very impressive. The thing is... I have a stronger desire to own a 348. So if I do get a 360 someday, I imagine it'll most likely be an addition to the Beaker stable rather than my only Ferrari.

My wife struggles with heavy clutches so, although she supports my 348 dream, she may struggle to drive the car herself. Perhaps we'll one day manage a 360 with an F1 transmission so she can drive a Ferrari unimpeded by such worries.

All the best,
Andrew.

my recommendation to you and the thread opener, is to pass on the 348 and go for a 355. its an infinitely better car, and nearly the same money.

Get the 360.

The depreciation curve and your saving curve are on a crash course, you'll be there before you know it!

I, too. love the look of a 360, esp coupe.

Indeed, the coupe model is the only way to go for me...

Don't wait - tomorrow might never come - I was wounded in the Army and just recuperated from life threatening cancer - go for it - Also never ever say I don't want to track - that will come with time - I also said that when i bought my first of 4 Ferraris

Newbie to the forum so I will apologize ahead of time for all the newbie mistakes. I'm hitting those year where I'm starting to enjoy the finer things in life (41) and i have been blessed with a nice career and a good income for these days. I'm not a 1%er more like upper middle class. I have finally completed my collection of sport bikes and look to buy my first exotic. My question is should I wait a year or so and go for a 360 which is what I truly want or start out with a 348 which I could buy today. I have about 50k in the coughfer and from what I see 360's average around 65k low too over 100k. I don't finance anything so saving and paying cash is much more rewarding, but I have about .001 in patience but for the right car I will wait. Is their a huge performance difference in let's say a 348-355 and a 360. The biggest factor that stands out for me is I love the look of the 360. I'm not really looking to tracking the car, just looking to get a little rush when I get on some back roads.

There is no way I would take a 70k plus car out to say p.b.I.r I have been racing bikes since I was 6 and know that u have to be willing to be able to haul what left of what used to be what u showed up with and sell it for parts..although it would be a rush of a life time the ZX6 is always there for a fraction of the cost for that. The money I will have to earn for this car will be nothing less than a daily war(ups package car driver). It's kinda of crazy when I was dumping my weeks pay into trying to keep a kit car build afloat I know find myself in a position to just be patient and own a car that inspires dreams. Glory be to the man up stairs!

Or if in a year or two you have enough cash, you could stretch you dollar to get a 430 or a CS.

You have a good collection of bikes to keep you entertained for now so why not wait a year or so to buy the car you really want?

My .02 since I favor the 360 and even more so the CS. It seems you also favor the 360 so I thought my opinion was valid for this situation.

Both choices are ferraris so you can't go terribly wrong.

While you wait, why not make some low ball offers on 360s and see what happens? Cash is certainly more king now than ever. Maybe you'll get lucky. It works on aircraft these days.
