Sharing the Experience 2.0

This past spring we were staying at a hotel along the Oregon coast with the local FCA.

The hotel had set aside an area for us to wash our cars for the up coming car show. When I inquired about it they had one of the staff , a young man in his twenties, assisted me.

He went home to get his personal car soap, tire dressing & towels.. My Tubi was looking a little shabby after a failed heat blanket mod I had done. He hunted down a piece of steel wool from the hotel restaurant so I could clean it up.

We got talking & he told me about his 67 Mustang. I asked him to meet up with me at the end of his shift for a ride. As a car enthusiast I figured he would enjoy it. .

The staff behind the front desk saw us leaving & gave a “thumbs up”. We left town & headed onto Hwy 101. Traffic was light so I took the opportunity to open it up & passed some cars. He was definitely thrilled with the acceleration & sound.

I then pulled over & said “Swap places with me & drive me back to the hotel”. While its one thing to ride in a Ferrari, its even better to drive one. Plus it’s always a bonus when your friends or coworkers witness it.

I really appreciated him going the extra mile to help me & he’ll have a memory for life (& the pictures to prove it)

Very cool. Im sure he won't forget it either. Really cool when you can share with a fellow enthusiast.
