Yes, I bought one. I now also get parking on site. Grandstands turn 15 with a bunch of my local friends. Not that bad of a deal.

Sorry, for the delays in updates. Been busy the last couple months with our wedding. Heading to Italy for vacation at the end of the month. Was hoping to get to Monza for the race, but opted to go to Maranello for the museum instead. It was a little bit of an easier sell.

I'll try and snap some new photos this week. They've got almost two thirds of the exterior paneling on it seems and they have started work on the overpass to the light rail again. Also, I saw this morning they had another concrete pump truck working. Last week they put in the metal decking for the garage bays and this morning they were pouring it. So its been steady progress. They have the lights on now as well inside the parking area.

No real action on paving or anything, but the local newspapers say its still a go despite international press. Guess we'll have to wait and see. They did however just pave River Road from the hairpin north all they way to Edgewater and the interchange in Lincoln Harbor is still moving along.

There's definiltely still pleny of construction action all week long so I'm taking that as quiet but good sign.

Forgive me if this has been discussed but are there any thoughts on when in the season this race would occur? It would be nice to have a general idea so I can start planning my 2013 summer vacation.

June 16

Based on my crystal ball.

And yes, that's the date I have a hotel reservation in the Big Apple for.

Disappointed about that... Tom lent credibility to Leo's team. Plus, they named TWO people to replace his position...

He's "returning to his old gig" - I wonder what went wrong?

Bummed to see this news as well! Wonder what's going on behind the scenes?

Happened to see this as well. I'm not really a fan of the host but the interviews are rather interesting. Some good angles of Port Imperial Blvd fly bys.

However, it turns out next year I guess we'll have to wait for September when Bernies deadline is. Either way I've already booked Montreal again so NJ will be a bonus if it happens next year!!!

While I think the NJ race is in the right area, and clearly NYC can support any form of F-1, I just dont see this happening, with out govt $$$ and not sure how that will happen. Nobody can promote a F-1 race in the USA today and make any money - bernie has seen to that.... that is why F- 1 is not racing in the USA... it has to make business sense... and F-1 only makes business sense to F-1.

Small update:
Drove past yesterday morning and I saw Weehawken Police "pusing" and towing vehicles out of the NY Waterway Ferry parking lot area in Weehawken. Today there's a new pile driver going by the large earth mound that has been there for over a year. Also, happened to notice all the drive up ticket validators are now gone as well. Seems like the they are starting in on some major waterfront construction that has nothing to do with the possible paddock.

Hoping everything is going according to plan.

Nice! The host's delivery does seem a bit grating but worth it...at least this time.

The final cut...
