Those who served and gave.

For those who served and gave so that we can live in safety with freedom, thank you.

Joe,

Yours is the picture "that is worth a thousand words". And your post is timely, thoughtful and appreciated.

Thank you,

Hank

Hank, forgive me for putting the thread in the showroom section, but I thought it should go where most of us visit the forum. I've had the idea for the photo for a good while and thought about doing it next week on Nov 11th. It was just one of those things I kept putting off. After what happend at Ft. Hood yesterday I could make no more excuses. Those of us who are enjoying life should not forget what gives us this privilege. The photo was taken at the Biloxi National Cemetery at sunset today where veterens from WW1 to present day are resting.

If you do, please post it here. It would be interesting to see such photos from all over. Joe

From Portugal

Even without a photo , our thoughts are with all the families that lost a loved one in this
tragedy.

With all respect , from Portugal...

Theirs is a debt that can never be re-payed and it is an obligation we have to everyone that serves in our Armed Forces that we are so fortunate just to sit and express on opinion on the laptop in this country.

I first started this thread last year for Veteran's Day and now its Memorial Day weekend. There will be BBQ on the grill, cold drinks in the ice chest, families at parks and major events watched on TV. But everyone should remember what this holiday weekend is all about. So I will give my respects by posting another photo from the same place. Rest in Peace my warrior friends.

My friend Marine Sgt. Sean Callahan was killed in battle in Afghanistan on April 23rd of this year. I celebrate his life today!
