Assume you are asking about that GTR and not the road car in Metallic Orange.

The GTR is #07R, part of an amazing private collection in the UK. Owner is an enthusiast of the highest order, still in love with the car after owning it for a decade now.

Erik, do you have any posts on the 027R Longtail that you could refer me to?

One in this thread tells quite a bit of the story on that car:

Mclaren F1 pics

The car did appear at Goodwood last year redone in the Parabolica livery. Some sad news surrounded it's resurrection though and I believe the car is now being kept in private storage.

Let me know if that posts satisfies your interest or if you have more questions.

Thanks, Erk. great post as always. Interesting to hear it is back in it's original livery. I was keen on the orange I saw it in a few years ago. I so wish I got better pictures and saw it from the rear - DAMN, that ass! lol.

How did it fair in it's racing career?

After a life long obsession with the Mclaren F1, I finally got to see one in real life. Actually two of them two weeks apart. Here are the videos!

Unfortunately, the material has been pulled down. Do you remember the name of the video, or who was in it, so that those who care to can track it down?

There's a Mclaren store opening (or maybe already opened, I can't tell) a few minutes from me in Newport Beach, Ca. I'm wondering, how many of the Mclaren specific stores are there? I know of another one in San Francisco, and of course the London Store. I'll probably stop by to see what they have, maybe an F1?

McLaren have 10 dealerships in North America with more expected in the next year or so. They may also experiment with remote service locations to provide more after-sales coverage. Around the world they have nearly 40 locations in I forget how many countries. They have already delivered well beyond their 1000th car - in fact about 550 12C's have come to the USA so far.

There's another dealership in Beverly Hills in addition to the other two California dealerships you mentioned. There other existing North American locations already in operation are in Greenwich, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, Tampa Bay, Dallas, and Toronto.

Phil - congrats man! I am glad you've finally had the good fortune of finding that pair. I saw the longtail today but was never in the right spot to see the road car.

Thanks Erik! Seeing the White Road car (#014) was just peer luck. My friend and I were out for a drive to see where the Pebble Beach would be on Sunday. We were about to turn around at the gates before 17 mile drive. We decided to go in and low and behold I see a Mclaren F1 parked right outside the gates of Gooding and Company. Stopped right away! My heart was beating so fast with excitement and shock of seeing a road car out in the wild! Loved every minute of it!

Seem to be sitting at the higher end of that range according to numbers I have heard. It wouldn't be shocking to know that one has sold for even more than that under ideal conditions or with the right history.
