There can be nothing more amazing than to be surrounded by things you are passionate about. I am having the most epic time of my life thanks to some very generous people who chose to include me in their event.

I was in Baton Rouge to visit a family. We were driving along and I nearly yelled "stop!". My friend's elderly Dad thought I'd lost my mind, but when he saw the car, he loved it.

Our veil of secrecy was lifted last evening when the last car was loaded onto a transporter for its journey home. Yay!!!

I can now tell you that this white and red heavily customized car was #072. It was formerly black with silver wheels and wore the High Downforce Kit. It wasn't seen too often as it spent the majority of the past decade in an underground garage at an estate on Lake Tahoe in Nevada.

Here are some photos from two days ago that I am quite proud to say came out of my own camera. I took these on a 458 kilometer journey into the Dolomites and around the Sella Runde in the passenger seat of #007 being driven by a very capable man who was quite committed to the effort needed to extract nearly every ounce of performance the car could muster and traffic would allow for. At one point on the Autostrada I saw the speedometer registering 320 kph - MASSIVE!!!

Much much more to share later but I would suggest if you are truly interested that it would be best to keep an eye on the McLaren F1 Owner's Club thread at AutomotiveForums.com in the dedicated McLaren F1 forum. There will be several people sharing content there. I know that most of us who were along for the experience were shooting several hundred if not 1,000+ pictures per day.

Peloton, out of curiosity, is this your first time seeing 007 in the flesh? I know the previous owner posted at great length in AF and that the car's history is fairly well known there, just wondering if this is your first actual sighting of it. In any event, this must be an absolutely amazing event to be a part of!

I had not had the pleasure of seeing #007 before finding it in the underground parking at Villa d'Este this last Friday.

The car's previous owner did once invite me for a visit to Boston but I could not afford the trip at that time. This was a real shame because he also had LM3 in his garage then. The worst mistake I ever made was not accepting his invitation, some way - some how.

Amazing was definitely the appropriate word many, many times this week without any doubts.

Thanks so much Erik for sharing, and I am truly jealous of your experience. Incredible!

Thanks for the heads up of pics at AF. Haven't logged in over there in quite some time.

Lots, lots more to share - don't you worry about that!

I am still on holiday through tomorrow and have scheduled some very ambitious plans for each day as I haven't a clue when I might return to this great country of Italy. I fly back to Los Angeles early Sunday morning and then will probably struggle for a day or two getting back on schedule, but as soon as I have my bearings there will be a lot to look at.

Jaw dropping - no other words can describe being in the presence of 17 McLaren F1s in one spot. Two more arrived by the road that evening for a total of 19. Not sure anyone ever got a shot of all 19 together - I wonder...

Sounds like a truly amazing trip and I am extremely happy that you of all people got to experience it. Have now added McLaren F1 rally to my bucket list.

I will keep you informed of any future plans that materialize for another event like this as I would love to have you along if possible. Of course if bring everyone I would want to I'd need a tour bus to get there, and if I brought everyone who wanted to come I don't even think a commuter train could handle the job of transport.

Clear lenses with LEDs behind them.

Yes - and when he sold it through Lamborghini of Atlanta the current owner purchased it.

So yesterday at the ALMS race at Lime Rock Park, a white McLaren F1 with the high downforce kit, and a red Ferrari Enzo arrived together. I got a clip of them in HD ... parking... which is not that exciting, but you can hear both car idling.

Also, I will have photos of both up soon.
