Thanks, Boudewijn! I'm afraid I didn't get even close...
Anyone can read the letters in the steering wheel shaped logo? ASACO? USACO?

The one under the Sports Car Club of America looks like a steering wheel with three circles one besides the other, each one with a number inside, 4 - 2 - 1 I would say. Does it say anything to anyone?

Well, it wasn't 4 2 1 but A C I (Automobile Club d'Italia).

Now, the one to the right side of the car. Round in shape, divided diagonally in two colours, a very light one (white or yellow) and a dark one, with a small object - a car's shape? in the lower part. Any ideas?

Maybe this one? It belongs to the Le Mans 24 hours Auto Club, and having into account that Chinetti had won several times tthat race before 1953, he was probably member of the Club.

I still think this belongs in the vintage section. Here are a few more photos from public websites:

Ferrari Expo 2011 will have Carrera Panamerica as a special added theme in the hand built model contest.

Francis Muller, also know as Giotto on Ferrarichat found your right side logo. Here is the photo. It is the Association Generale Automobile des Pilotes Independents(AGACI), a French club from Paris. Chinetti after all was an automobile distributor and driver in France for several years before coming to America, so that makes sense.

Thanks to you all, this model has been possible. It's not me who has done it, but Carlos Duran, from Sevilla, Spain, I've just made the decals.

Yes, it's a 1/32 scale slot car. Since these decals are custom made, I must ask for Carlos permission for printing them for third parties, but in this particular case, having into account your help in the research process, I'm sure he'll grant it.
The price for 1/24 would be 10€ + 5€ of shipping fees. Shipping fees are the same for any quantity of decals, so you can have a look to my webpage to see if there's any other ones you could be interested in: www.artecnodecals.com
Most prices are for 1/32 scale, but all of them they can be re-scaled.

Tom, I've asked him and he says it's OK. I think we should arrange the details by PM.

1954 C.P car #4

Hello All!

Does anyone out there have/know where there is a picture of Car #4 in race markings from the 1954 race? I have seen pics of the car post race but nothing taken during the race. I believe the car was:

Ferrari 375MM #4 Drivers- Bonomi/Peyloubet (sn #0358AM)

I believe this same car raced in the 1953 race driven by Maglioli as car #12 so hopefully someone out there took a picture of it at the 1954 event.

Thanks
Terry Jones

That car is such a beast. Pulled 1 color photo from the link. I have a Provence Moulage model kit of this car.

Also a link to the 1/43rd Carrera Pan Americana thread:

This hidden thread is AMAZINGLY timely - I'm kitting out an electric 250 GTO kids' car with Carrera Panamericana livery for my nephew. Yes, not exactly period-correct but it's vintage and it's going to be inspired by the sponsors, typefaces and style captured in the photos here.

Perfect timing! Thanks to you all!
