I just bought a copy of this book and have read the first few chapters. It’s fascinating reading. The book is structured as an extended interview/conversation between Franco Gozzi and Sergio Scaglietti. Both of them are among the most select insiders from the days of the “old guard” at Ferrari. As such, the book is filled with interesting stories and anecdotes that have not been endlessly told before. Also, unlike some Italian published books, the English translation is perfect. It certainly gets my highest recommendation. On the down side, it may be hard to find a copy as there are only 1500 copies of this book out there and it is not being sold through the normal distribution channels.

For those who were looking, there are two copies of Il Flobert on Italian eBay right now, one is here: http://cgi.ebay.it/Collezionismo_Col...|39:1|240:1318. Items on eBay Italy usually would not show up in a regular search, sometimes even if you click on "Worldwide", so I thought I'd share.

For those looking for a copy of FERRARI IN CAMERA, there's one (blue edition) on ebay right now for a (relatively) reasonable buy-it-now price of $1,000.

Gazetta Ferrari Opera Omnia 15 books

Anyone bought these 15 books (Italian text only) in one range?
Price 199 euro, worth the money?
Heard that many never seen photos are in the books.

Hi Tom
I have Vol. 13 only (paid far too much for it on Ebay), but I think it is typical of the other volumes. Nicely designed and produced (it is an official Ferrari product) with plenty of photos - many seem to be previously unpublished. There are also a lot of drawings and illustrations. MY main frustration is that it is in Italian so I can't read it. The cover price is 14.99 euros which seems to be very good value for the size and quality. For 199 euro I would say definitely worth the money (as long as the shipping isn't too expensive)

Hello Nathan,

Here you can make the collection complete: http://store.gazzetta.it/prodotto.ph...0099-D095&np=1
I will wait for your next book (still busy?)! And this should also be done: F40 LM book final one 1988/9 testing- up to last raced GTE 88779 in 1998 FFSA France GT. Cavalleria is good, but.......and F40 da Corsa, not complete and no chassis list/results list and ITALIAN!

;-)

Thanks

Hi, Nathan.

Search the below item # on ebay. I'm the buyer, and the description on the auction site is about all I know about it. It just came yesterday, so I haven't had the chance to go through it yet. Looks interesting, though!

Thanks, Nathan. I'm looking forward to it. (I fear I overpaid for the book I cited above!)

That's always the risk on ebay. That's how I got caught out on Gazetta Ferrari Opera Omnia 13. I have bought a fair amount from the seller - he's very reliable, but his stuff lately seems to be more expensive than before, and in the higher price levels.
But at least you also have the postcards and the DVD so it might not look too bad a deal when you've had chance to look at it.
Maybe you can give us an idea of what the book and the DVD are like - many new photos, etc? I guess the DVD will be in Italian but sometimes they have a language option.
Nathan

Nathan,

I haven't seen the book, but when I stopped off in Maranello after the Finali Mondiali last year there were posters up for an exhibition of the same name. The book is clearly to accompany that, although I didn't get to see either the book or exhibition last November, unfortunately.
