Guys

The poster on the old California restaurant row Facebook page says the show starts at 1pm and not 2. Which one is it? Can someone confirm?

Just called the organizer guy. They are trying to change the time to 1PM but since we started at 2PM in the past - is is OK for us at 2PM as before. We have our own reserved space (same as last time) in the back lot.

We can change to 1PM next time if we wanted.

We had a really great turnout today at the San Marcos Car show. The organizer has a special reserved lot just for the Ferraris and exotics for the monthly show. Pics are below.

Thanks for the pics. It was great to see the Enzo (thanks Bill) and all others.

For next month, I am trying to put together a "red Ferrari" tent for us with some drinks. Steve will bring some F flags. This way we can sit around and chat.

Fun day and a nice turnout for our group. I've got the big Ferrari flags and I'll figure out some PVC poles we can use to mount them on the canopy. Although they won't fit in our cars, maybe someone can figure out how to get some folding or plastic chairs. Maybe a sympathetic wife with an SUV (Opps! Not PC). The're stupid cheap to buy or can be rented easily.

I've got a set of flags that came with my car as well. The previous owner used to fly them outside his house on the sunday's of F1 races. Forza Ferrari! I can bring them as well. We can pin them to the e-z ups and they'll provide some shade.

I received a red canopy today + 2 foldable F-chairs. Will bring them to the next show 9/2/12 for us to use.

Hi all,

Just comfirming that I'll bring the flags and poles. We discussed it at Sunday's "JustDriveIt" and agreed we need to find a way to keep the canopy from blowing over onto our cars if there's any wind. Eric suggested we tie it to the building which is a good idea if there's anything there to tie onto. I'll bring some extra rope/line and I have some steel stakes we can use if needed.

There is a tree next to where I had my car parked last time. It would be a good spot for the canopy as well as a good tie down spot. I'll also bring some twine and stuff. We could also place the canopy next to the concrete wall where the Porsche guy had his canopy. There is a dirt area next to it where we could use the stakes.

It was a great time at the San Marcos Car Show today. The canopy Tung provided worked great and was some much needed shade. We met alot of nice people. Amazingly enough one guy that was admiring my F355 turned out to be the guy that came up with the Fish Tie idea and first started selling them back in the late 80's / Early 90's. Very nice guy. below is a pic from today.

Looks like a fun day out. Sorry I missed it but had to be in NYC this weekend. I'll be at the oct meet for sure. Any talk of getting them to extend the show till nov?

From what the organizer mentioned, this is to be a monthly event the first Sunday of each month.

Fun day yesterday. The show is supported by the merchants on Resturant Row to increase their business so there's no fee to enter or to spectate. It's refreshing to go to a show where they're honestly glad to see you and tell you so. Normally I'm a "Drive It" guy and stay away from shows but for this one I make an exception.
