If you plan to be in Monterey and you'd like to attend one or both of the FOG dinners, please sign up here. Both dinners have limited capacity and will begin after 8:30 pm. Also, be sure to visit the FOG Rally pavilion at Concorso Italiano. There will be some great surprises as well as the release of the 2012 issue of Cavallo da Corsa Magazine.

A great weekend with great friends, and a tribute to the man who swore (literally) that he'd beat Ferrari...and did. The only things marring it were (a) having to pay extra for the people who left dinner Friday without contributing their share, and (b) the enormous amount of dust at the Pebble Beach parking area.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1345396398.297709.jpg

As of Saturday evening, the McLaren corporate tent.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1345396484.583705.jpg

As of about the same time the same evening, the Ferrari tent to be.

I want to extend my apologies to all of you who were at Friday night's dinner and assumed costs that you should not have had to. You will receive a note soon that should resolve this to everybody's satisfaction. Thank you for your patience as I work to resolve this matter.

What a day at Concorso Italiano!

We had a fantastic tent and managed to connect with lots of interesting people who wished to learn more about the FOG Rally and this year's charity, Blue Planet Network.

What made it possible and so successful was the tremendous and passionate support that came from FOG members. Huge thanks to Tony who hauled books, recruited, orchestrated, and prepped the four hostesses, was on the ground Thursday attending to the many details required to get our tent set up and ready, and all day Friday, as well, hanging banners, flags, and posters, and having all the right tools and supplies on hand to resolve our technical challenges, meeting and greeting, and promoting the Rally, and who brought his 430 in for display to complete the picture. Special thanks to Tuan and Geno who acted as transporters from Marin for masses of magazines and lugged them from acres away in the parking lot to our tent. Tom and Jess -- wearers of so many hats on behalf of FOG, including Tom's becoming the FOG accountant, again, at dinner, Garrett - advocating persuasively for FOG after dinner - Dan C you were a major trooper, putting in overtime and acting as a superb spokesperson for the Rally - and As Darryl reminded continuing the process over at the Barnyard! K-man -- you are relentlessly supportive, brother - so great spending all that time with you and N. Anatoly (who offered to leave his F-car at home and take an SUV to haul mags!!), Albert, Edrose, Andrew, David, Alfie (capturing the day in pictures yet again -- can't wait to see what you got), Christian, Christine, Darryl (mag hauler, too!) Michael, Jenn, and Ed and the whole family showed up and rolled up their sleeves to assure a successful day. The team work was fantastic and is so very much appreciated. We'd have been a faceless exhibit, devoid of literature and identity, were it not for the expeditious and high quality production of our banner, post cards, and of course our stunning magazine, and that is due to both Tom and Ben, and Herb and the whole crew at Essence Printing! Finally, Tom and the Concorso Italiano team - you treat us so well and we're going to keep coming back! A deep bow and sincere thanks to all of you!

Wow, seriously? Again? What opprobrious conduct....

Hard/sad to imagine this being an issue for FOG. Hope that those who were gracious enough to pick up the tab get remunerated in some manner.

N4S - here's the odd thing - last night I had a dream that you were lamenting about this very thing to me in French. I don't know why it was in French, but I actually had to do a double take when I saw your post. It's like I have ESPN ("Mean Girls" reference....anyone?)....
