Oh, and you'd be happy to know PP that when I took my car to Shannons to confirm the restoration and agreed value, they did say they would have increased agreed value if it were Australian delivered.

That has changed now Greg. It used to be like that but now mileage is unlimited. The only thing that has changed is that you must register every driver which is a pain in the butt when you want to take a friend for a drive. I like to give my friends a turn at driving so technically I need to call Shannons and have them added to my policy.
The Aussie delivered thing is ridiculous, but it is what it is.

Funny....you have it insured for friends to drive, and I haven't had a drive. that tells me everything

lol

Buy your own.

I don't let anyone be stupid in it and I know for a fact that you'd drive it safely. Only 3 listed on my policy at this time.

$20k difference from memory BTW, I got it insured for $130k. I hope never to have to make a claim, I'd be out of pocket a lot of money.

Shannons have always quoted the cheapest costs for my cars, 308QV, 75K, $800
355, 140K, $1150 360CS, 210K, $2100. The CS is the only car with "Restricted Driver Listing" and it proved to be a real pain in the butt to get insurance for. I guess many of them have been written off?

its strange how they do it.
The BB512 I had,the old Bentley Contninentals and the Aston DB6 were cheap as chips to insure, yet would be expensive to repair,

It's a betting/odds game. Old classic cars are usually well looked after by their owners and unlikely to be involved in an accident as opposed to a new Lamborghini in drug dealer black driven by a 24 year old

Perhaps you should bring the 360CS out on one of these track days. Didn't know you had one of those. Congrats Bob.

Shannon's were easy for me to work with, much the same figure as aircon around $550, being on club plates no doubt helps reduce the price. 83 QV.
