Trip to see the Golden Guitar

Who would be interested in a two night stay in Tamworth?

The plan would be for a few Queenslanders to have an interesting drive south to Tamworth on a Monday while at the same time some NSW'ers have an interesting drive north.

Steak and a beer and stay the night in Tamworth.

Tuesday could consist of a nice drive east and then north and then west and then south followed by another night in Tamworth.

Wednesday would be making ones way home.

We could visit this...

http://www.biggoldenguitar.com.au/

Thinking July/August.

Who's interested?

PM me for more info.

I must say, I wasn't expecting to see this when I logged in.

I live in Tamworth.

Steak and beer? Can't pass Stetsons Steak House - http://sssbbq.com.au/

For driving roads? Plenty around here, just a matter of how far you would all like to travel.

If you need any thoughts/ideas on anything, let me know.

Great.

If that's the go for one night, where for the other?

Also, is there a good place to stay for two nights within walking distance?

Yep.

There is Plumes on the Green B&B, the Golden Guitar Motor Inn, which is just of course next door to the guitar itself.

Other recommended places to stay include Ashby on Ebsworth or the Quality Hotel Power House however they are a short taxi trip.

Another suggested place to eat with very great meals is Safari Club.

Attached is a (very, very old!) map.

The OHOS 308's manage to be out in front most of the time, waiting for the "driving miss daisy" set. I haven't been left behind yet.
