SRT Viper and SLS Mercedes share parts?

Does anyone know if the SRT Viper and SLS Mercedes share parts?
I know in early development of the Viper this was supposedly so.
My understanding is it is alot of parts from Fiat/Alfa

I don't believe so.
Originally, the Mercedes SLS was supposed to be the new Viper. But Benz took the chasis and made it their own car. (Because they were preparing for a split from Chrysler).

The new Viper was developed with Help from Fiat and Ferrari (Per the design videos).

I have heard they still share parts from various car related sites. (specifically the chassis)

I was just trying to find out if someone knew for sure..

Given the SLS is an all aluminum space frame and the Viper is steel with Magnesuim firewall and aluminum engine bay "spider," I doubt there is much if anything in common between the two. And since Daimler dumped Chrysler before the new Viper began development, I doubt any design or technology was shared.

This.

And thats a good thing-Viper would have been ruined by the meddlers from the tri-star.

According to this:

They did.

But that viper never came to fruition.

But then there are those that doubt the edmunds article in the first place, but they don't seem to be too convincing either.
