Going to try and fix the spoiler, need some help.
I get the flashing spoiler light whenever it's activated, and it remains blinking. First things first, I am going to disassemble and put fresh grease on everything. My fear is that the motor is shot; it's the same as the driver side headlight motor, right? New prices for headlight motors are insane. I read somewhere that another car uses the same motor; does anyone have a lead on where I can get one, new or used?

Hi Colby; yes, the motors are identical to headlight motors of a Volvo 480.
I would be interested in how you get on, as my spoiler light sometimes goes on as I pass the legal 120kph limit here. Not that I ever do that, of course .

Looks like some parts suppliers have also realised this, as the price of new motors has gone through the roof since I last checked them.
This supplier is still fairly reasonable at EUR180: http://www.geiz-24.de/carcat/artikel/0390206414-BOH Most others are double that - typical, eh. Those other prices make a quick fix instead of replacement for another 20 years of service so much more attractive. Ignore those fools, I call for a boycot on anyone asking over EUR200. Thinking all F owners are there only to squeeze easy money from. They're not getting any of my hard-earned cash - they can sit on their motors for another 20 years or more.
