OMG. What have I done. This weekend, I traded my beloved f430 for a lp560. I never driven a lambo before but figured since lp560 has more power and what not, it would be a fun car. WRONG............. The lambo significantly lacks low end torque. My f430 loads of low end torque. It was so fun to zip around town. Seems like lp560 has no torque in 2nd, 3rd gears while crusiing around town. You have to push it past like 6k rpm to feel some power. I'm really regretting my trade. Does all Lambos drive this way? Sad day....

You have a 458, relax and ENJOY your toys
![]() Lambos are much different than Ferraris. Perhaps you just need to get a hang of the cars feel before you have regrets.. |

No test drive. Big mistake. I'm on different island so didn't bother.

Pretty hard to be sympathetic.
You have two great (albeit different) Italian sports cars and live in tropical paradise. Look at the big picture.

Only 3k miles out of the 430, that's like only reaching first base. The Gallardo is a great ride, the only regret is that you didn't enjoy the Ferrari enough.

is it really that bad? I dont like Audi engine at all just because of the torque....but isn't the V10 is ok on torque? 430 is not a torque monster but they shouldn't be that far off right?

Yeah. At least I have my 458. Maybe I just need to give it little more time. Love the look of lp560 though. Sorry guys. Just had to vent... Safe driving!

I know that by numbers, two cars are pretty even on torque, but definitely, for some reason, lp560 lacks torque. For instance, I can quickly drop from 3rd to 2nd gear on my f430, and instantly merge into traffic. But no can with lp560. On full throttle from a dig, the lp560 was fast but who does WOT on busy city streets. I just miss that low end torquey feel.

That's really strange. Even with my 08 GSL I wouldn't charaterize it as low or lacking on torque. Maybe have the car checked?

Maybe it's not torque but weight? I've test drive the newer Gallardos with an open mind and they are pretty impressive to be honest. Perhaps it's the post 458 syndrome where everything else sucks.

Could it be the heavier feel of the AWD steering on the Gallardo that makes it seem more sluggish? When I test drove an F430 and '08 Gallardo at JNExotics, the F430 had a quick, light, agile feel and the G felt like a sturdy bull that it is. Maybe the 550-2 or Balboni would feel better because of it's rear wheel drive? I had an F355 at the time and after my test drive, I knew that I had to get an F430 which is what I ended up with.
