Think ahead. Plan the route that you want your wires to follow. Take a piece of string and measure (ONCE) the lengths required. Then wire everything up on your work bench, not bent over your engine. If you really want to make things easy on yourself, drive some nails in a piece of board at the appropriate places and wrap the wire around those to emulate bends etc.

Once done, use these spiral wraps (in the appropriate diameters) to keep things neat and to prevent the wires from chafing.

Thanks for the tip Hans. If I get this done and it looks pretty, I owe it all up to you.

Hi Rolf,

I was thinking these 2 spots in the red circle would be good.

2 taps at about 12 or 1 o clock.

Cheers

I have chosen the first bend after the aft bank. That means measuring A/F ratio from the aft bank only (see photo).I guess thats OK.

I have 1 sensor also, but I'm going to put 2 bungs on both sides of the exhaust. I'll have one plugged up, run it for a while and then plug that other side and check the settings on that side.

Of Course this all going to happen when i get her ever going.

Hey Chris, why not mount a sensor in that side as well and use a switch to go from one to the other for readings?

C'mon Rob, that would be too easy.

When I was talking to Nick he said I didn't need two. I forgot his exact words, I got it in my email. I'll have to dig it up.

bung

If you have the priority of putting your own bung in, I would suggest anywhere closest to the collector on the header side. They need to be in a totally air tight pipe with no leakage from exhaust connections or it will give you a incorrect reading. Also always have them pointing down (on the top or side) so that when water accumulates in the header (engine cold and first started) it will not corrode the sensor. They are wonderful when installed correctly. Good idea Chris to install a second bung.

Well, I'm still playing with the wiring.

I got a few things connected. Also ran a Power, Ground and a extra wire thru the tunnel where the OEM wiring goes to the front of the car. That electrical snake finally came in handy.

One thing to remeber when youre dealing with a lift. Always watch your fingers, feet and whos around it when going up or down. And always look under the car when its coming down. I forgot my power wire spool was there.

Progress

Your making some progress there buddy! Don't be like me and start another project.

I ripped a couple lbs of wire out of the 348 very stupid alarm sysytem and disconnected the seat belt retract system, I personally never liked the slide bars and belts flying around when you get in or out of the car. VERY poor choice on Ferrari's part. My nephews TR has them too and they where replaced with that recall and still don't work right, so I did my own recall.

My son is hydro dipping some 208 mirrors and louvers in carbon fiber, can't wait to see what they look like.

Keep up the work dude!

Sorry Rob, I missed this. Your car broke down?? I didn't hear about this. What the hey??

I'm going as fast as I can. Between tossing pizzas during the day and squeezing out some hours at night with the car it's been a little exhausting.

I'm almost done with the wiring. I ran a few wires, TPS,MAP, Water and Air along the back, so that part is done. I still need to connect the wires for the starter. I should also be getting my fuel lines and some AN fittings today or tomorrow.

I got another obstacle I over looked that Jack pointed out. More to come on that next time.

Took a little break from the wiring to install some shiny new parts. Just a few AN fittings to give it that cool look. One of the angle ones that go around the oil filter was tight. I think I should be good.

This was my first time working with stainless hoses. I got a couple of pricks from the wires but I survived.

Looks yummy Edwardo.

So, I was informed from a few friends that i needed a vacuum source for the Map sensor. My intakes don't have any holes for vacuum so Jack made me some 1/4" plates with some taps to put in between the intakes and TBs.

Jack did a great job like always.

So i took everything apart, again, installed the plates, all the vacuum lines and bolted everything back again.

The saga continues...........
